Not the quality I expect from LEM at all!
Not the quality I have come to expect from LEM! I own 5 LEM products (grinder, dehydrator, etc.) that surpass the slicer in design, and build quality. The finish is amateurish and not of any great quality. Disappointing. The "food holder arm" (their description) does not get close enough to the cutting surface of the blade..... so your product (meat/cheese/etc.) has more than 1/4" remaining that will not be cut due to this issue. At least, unless you use your hand or a spacer. I will be using a spacer as it is unsafe to use your hand so close to the cutting surface. Not a good design choice. 5 year warranty listed and on instruction booklet... but the box displays 2 year warranty. EASY to clean really, just be careful of the blade. I suspect MINE was a return and repackaged for resale. I did not find anything mechanical wrong. The grinder was grimy (funny that word) and packaging and manual looked worn. I did also find a bent support screw (that aligns the resting surface and the blade) that I will report and hopefully get a replacement for. It works, but needs replaced. All in all, a good product. I will be keeping mine. However, I am extremely disappointed in the quality. My other LEM products are superior in my opinion to their competitors. This slicer could have been built much better. I still have faith in the motor (if it is as good as my other LEM motors)... which is the ONLY reason I am keeping this slicer.

No users manual, hardware loose inside box
Folks, this is a very nice meat slicer. It seems well built and rugged. The big problem I have with the device is that it didn't come with a users manual. It did include a parts list that an engineer might be able to use, but no instructions on how to clean and sharpen the blade. Also, there's a plastic piece that attaches to the part where the meat goes. This piece attaches with two long screws, two washers and two bolts. The screws, washers and bolts were just rolling around inside the box and I was lucky to find them. Other than the loose hardware, the device was packed very well. It came in a large exterior box, inside that was another card board box. Inside that box with form on four sides was yet another card board box and inside that last card board box was the manufacturers box. So, this thing came inside a total of four boxes. Inside the last box the device was incased in a plastic bag and surrounded by foam. I'd happily give up two of these boxes for some instructions on cleaning and sharpening the blade! PS - I did find a four page manual on the web by Googling LEM Products 10-Inch Commercial Quality Meat Slicer and selecting LEM Products from the list of available choices. Once on the website you can view and download the manual. That said, the manual should come with the device.

stop complaining
i process my own meats and use other LEM products and have been satisfied. not sure why so many people complained. i agree the screws that hold the blade on were tight but only the first time they were removed. anyone that complained about cleaning has never cleaned a cheap one. everything is either sealed or comes apart and goes back very easy. the non cutting gloves are a good idea. its true i have to cut my bacon in half to slice it but it cuts like butter. good value. good machine

Look no further!
Very well built! I work for a large meat processor and often get new product or meat as a bonus. This was the driving factor for the purchase. I research multiple different slicer and decided on this one. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality slicer for home or a small business. This is quality built!

Best bang for the bucks
First time I used it was a great time saver. Blade is very sharp and doesn't make a lot of waste. Sliced raw beef for jerky, didn't have any problems. This is worth the price, should have bought it sooner. Easy to assemble and use. Anyone who says different, probably shouldn't be trying to use it.

Life Changer
Life changer! I used to slice about 10 pounds of raw meat to dehydrate and it took me two to three hours. Sliced about 30 pounds and cleaned up in one hour. It's a KEEPER! This is not bad to clean once you figure out how to take it apart. Make sure you buy the cut resistant gloves before you use this, though, they are a must have!

Very good slicer. But has two glitches
Very good slicer. But has two glitches. The thickness adjuster is very tight. There really is no instructions on what to take apart or cleaning or using the blade sharpener, not brain surgery, but they should have supplied an instruction manual.

Quality product
Works great, very quiet, huge time saver. The only issue i have is the finishing they did on the metal is a bit rough and not very appealing to look at, but that's completely cosmetic and doesn't effect how the machine operates.
