This Piggy Needs a New Home
If you're looking for a pigtail lamp socket that's seen better days, look no further! This little piggy has been through the wringer and is ready for a new home. I'm not sure what this piggy's previous owner did to it, but it's got a few dents and scratches that make it look like it's been in a few too many rodeos. But don't let that scare you away! This piggy may not be pretty, but it's got character. It's the kind of piggy that's been around the block a few times and has stories to tell. And hey, if you're feeling creative, you could even give it a new paint job and turn it into a work of art. Overall, I'd recommend this pigtail lamp socket to anyone looking for a quirky addition to their home. Just be prepared for some strange looks from your guests when they see a piggy hanging from your ceiling.

Well made
Very nice pigtail socket. Used by handymen (and women) to make strings of lights or install, repair, or replace a single light bulb socket.

Worked really well for sconce fixing
You can buy really nice LED garage light sconces. But the LED's burn out in 5-6 years... then, know what? You can repair them with these sockets! It's a "lot of fun", or not. Being retired helps. Then you can put a daylight, low wattage bulb in your sconces and they will most likely last a lifetime. I just bypass the LED driver module and keep using the light sensing thingy. Have fun!

An old electrician’s favorite gadget
I moved to a small, hill country town who’s working electrician was over 80 years old. This is what he used to check for current in wires or switches. He swore this device had kept him alive for a pretty long time. So I got one too. It works !

This is the best one of these rubber lamp holders available
I have basically bought every brand of these to find the best one. I started with the Leviton version but found the hot tab at the bottom to be a terrible design. If you plug in a lamp with a longer center contact it can bend the tab down too far to work on other lamps. This Pass & Seymour has a much better design and should last indefinitely. I was looking to use this to panel mount a lamp and didn’t want to use a 2 piece porcelain fixture or a large keyless. I wasn’t sure how this would work but with a 1-1/2” hole in 1/16” sheet metal, this can be worked in down to the lip where the Rubber compresses and holds the fixture tight. It won’t pull out or turn and when a lamp is screwed in, the rubber makes contact and helps to hold it secure. I just bought 2 more for another project!

Perfect 'drop-in' replacement for outdoor post light!
Socket in princely old driveway lamp post went bad and thought I'd have to replace the fixture, but this well-constructed socket amazingly fit like a glove into the existing opening in the base, as if it was made for the fixture. Perhaps it's a standard size, but I couldn't have gotten a better fit from whomever manufactured the post fixture.
