Out with the old, in with the new

The lamp holders in my basement quit working. I replaced one that was installed in 2009 and one that was installed in 2013. Anyway, the old ones quite working. I didn't want porcelain because they break easily. So, I purchased these. They are plastic which is what I was looking for, affordable, and easy to install. These replaced all the old Lamp holders in my basement. I'm satisfied and will buy these again when they break.

Worked as it should

I replaced one of my older ceiling fixtures that the lights are sideways to this one to where the light will go straight down. It was easy to install and worked like a charm.

Great for remodeling

These plastic fixtures are excellent for remodeling and situations where you don't need a fancy fixture (closet, attic). I originally bought some as temporary fixtures for the rooms I am remodeling, so I could throw away the old 1980s ceiling fans and still have light. They were cheap enough I can get paint on them and throw them away. The quality is great. I haven't dropped one off the ladder yet, but it feels like it would bounce. There are also nice design features. Like they have two sets of mounting holes, one for a standard box and one for light fixture brackets (3½" or 2¾" centers). They come with extra long 1" mounting screws, which combined with the keyhole style holes make it easier to install on difficult angles. On the back side, the connection screws are easily accessible and sit almost flush with the base making it easier to connect the wires. They worked so well I ordered more. When I am finished painting and buy ornamental light fixtures, I may move these to the attic.

Worked great. You get what you pay for.

Did the job. Close up they look and feel cheap - and they were very cheap. Exactly what I was looking for. In my carport they are too high to notice the quality. Worked great for what I needed. If I were putting these in a more visible place - I’d spend the few extra bucks to upgrade them.

Less than $3 for a light fixture, who can pass that up? I needed a very basic fixture for a fancy LED ring shape bulb I bought and the bulb was already $20 so I didn't want to spend much on a fixture. It was also the easiest to install fixture ever, I wish all fixtures attached with a couple screws. Tuck away the ground wire if you have one or if your box is metal attach it to that.

Simple to install

There was not much to installing this product, just two wires and you were good to go. I do wish that the screws were labelled, as looking at the manual to see which is the hot wire wasn't ideal.

Overpriced.

Nice but overpriced. Same one at Home Depot is under 2.00 That being said.... It was delivered to my door for this price. I didn't have to go out to get it.
