Perfect fit for Coast Certain Seal No. 400 Flapper ... OD=67mm ID=38mm

The sizing info was strangely missing from the product description (the dimensions listed in the Amazon description are of the retail packaging... not the actual part), so I rolled the dice and gambled that this would fit my Coast Certain Seal No. 400 flapper. Luckily, it was a perfect fit! I installed it and it's working perfectly. As one other reviewer noted, this is slightly thinner than the original flapper seal/gasket, but on my particular flapper, it was plenty tight to prevent it from ever slipping off and seemed to fit nicely. I suspect this new seal may be the 'correct' size and the old one simply became thicker and less elastic with age. Either way, the new one works great and seals perfectly. Since the gasket's measurements are missing from the description, here are the measurements of the Lasco 04-1589 that I received... Outer diameter is 2 5/8 inches (67mm)... Inner diameter/diameter of hole is 1 1/2 inches (38mm)... thickness is approx 1mm. These measurements are approximate, but fairly accurate as they were made using digital calipers. Hopefully they'll help you match this up to your application.

Correct gasket for Coast Certain Seal 400

As previous reviewers noted (Thanks!) this is the correct size replacement for the gasket on a Coast Certain Seal 400 flapper. Clean the old one off thoroughly (on the flapper and the tank receptacle, pop this one on, and you're back in business.

It worked!

Bought this seal on a whim. Didn’t think I would need it because I was at the same time buying a complete flapper valve assembly. Both arrived together. New flapper valve leaked much worse than the original I was replacing! I dug my old flapper out of the trash. Removed the seal old from it. Installed this new seal and absolutely NO MORE LEAKING!

Replacement Gasket for Coast 300 Flapper

This fit the Coast Certain Seal No. 300 flapper. Time will tell if it lasts, particularly since it's not OE spec.

works as intended

The gasket worked as required however there is some slight slight leakage. We live on a septic system which is more sensitive to water leakage. The gasket fit perfectly but seems stiffer than the previous replacement. I think it may not last as long and doesn't provide equivalent as installed leakage as required.

Also Works On Artesian Brand Toilets

This seal also Works On Artesian Brand Toilets from the early 1980's. Just work it into the groove in the flapper and make sure it sits flat and you are all set. I highly recommend it since it works perfectly, is very easy to install and is of high quality. Not to mention that this is a LOT cheaper than replacing the whole toilet because you can't find a replacement flapper.

Doesn’t fill my Coast Flapper. Unfortunately it was a waste of money.

This product was advertised to fit my Coast Flapper. Unfortunately the washer is supposed to fit into a grooved ring. To do so it would have to have a thinner diameter on the inner edge. Bottom line this product is not for Coast brand flappers

Unacceptable product

These rubber washer were not what I expected. They do not fit properly with the flapper valves. I do not want to purchase any other items from this supplier
