Good concept, poor execution
The bowl-shaped lip is great and my dog loves the concept. But what my dog doesn’t know is that the bottle could have easily been double-walled for insulation (pretty much all steel water bottles are so why not this one? Are dogs not worthy of chilled water?), that no matter how much I clean it the steel part of the bottle it continues to leave a ring of some residue or other contact transfer in the bottom of the bowl, i.e. the part of the lid that goes around/swaddles the bottle. I doubt that makes for the cleanest drinking water. And it’s generally made from very poor materials, brittle plastic and metal that dents and warps easily (the recessed bottom of mine has popped out on one side, making it barely able to stand on even surfaces and only very wobbly so. Are the materials even food-grade safe?

The KONG H2O Stainless Steel Dog Water Bottle are well made with the exception of the new style lid/bowl are not as easy to tighten down and keep from leaking as the old style. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, the lid is easy to strip.

Great Product! One minor defect
This is the best portable watering device I have used. It's durable yet super lightweight, doesn't waste water, and is easy for dogs to drink from. Only issue is cap is prone to cross-threading and water will spill out when tilted. I imagine designers faced limitations when coming up with a cap that wouldn't injure a dog's tongue and also provide a sufficient means to screw on.

Use at your own risk.
Used this to go hiking with my dog. The bottle got extremely hot when exposed in the sun and still got too hot to drink when stored in a backpack. After using a few times I noticed the lid did not want to stay secured or was replaced without actually closing the bottle. I feel this is a bad design and does not reflect the quality of the 'Kong' brand.

Good, durable, bottom isnt flat
I really like this doggy water bottle for my corgis, they both drink from it well and it holds a fair amount. My only gripe is the bottom bows out a bit so it doesn't sit flat. I probably should have returned it but it works well otherwise and I usually have it hanging from something.

Great for walking my dog.
I really like that I can clip this to my dog’s leash. The water stays cold for our walk and the lid doubling as the bowl for her to drink from is a well thought out design feature.

We've Created A Nerd.
With the eldest moving 10hrs away to north of Scotland (was it something we said?), we decided to get a couple of Thermos flasks to help us get through the journey and make service station stops brief. We always take our Lab/Staffy-x with us and it was getting to be a pain taking a bottle and bowl (I know, first world problems). So looked around for an alternative and this seemed to get good reviews, plus Kong has been a reliable brand. She loves it. She gets excited now when we get our flasks, and her flask, out for a day trip in the Bongo (not got around to hooking up the gas yet). I've since tried bowls of water but nope, she wants a drink from her flask, not that water bowl that DOGS use. The bottle hasn't leaked yet and fits nicely in a side-back on a rucksack, plus has a clip. Although a largish dog, she has no trouble drinking from the lid and and water left can be easily poured back into the bottle if getting refills on your journey may be tricky. Important note from my husband - make sure you KNOW that the wife tips left over water back into the bottle before you take a swig. Only improvement is it could be tartan so she fits in better with other nerds.

Very handy but not as well made as id hoped
This is a great product for watering your dog on the go. Unfortunately the rubber seal on the inside of the lid keeps falling out when we use it which is a pain when your hands are full!!

LEAKS the large Kong LEAKS small drops all over you, no matter how tight you screw it
I even made a YouTube about this - BEWARE - this is why they don't let you return it. It is one of the amazon items "not eligible for return" that is because ALL the large Kong bottles LEAK. I have the minis, they are amazing, The Large - you screw it so tight you can't even open it - and it STILL LEAKS

It's a water bottle
It's a water bottle that has a cap that works as a dog bowl, perfect. Doggie loves his water when out for a walk. Uncle Don doesn't like it when the plastic top doesn't stay screwed to the stainless steel bottle. Yip, just pops right off, no more water for doggie dude. Boooooooooo

It leaks. Makes it very impractical. Waste of money and you cant return it.
