It is big much larger than I needed but my fault for not reading! But I still plan to use it. The bowl part pops on and off the bottom. That took me a while to figure out. Easy to hold if u r going on long walks or to park and need water for your dog. Can easily attach a poop bag holder to handle too!

Holds a lot of water and my dog is not afraid of it

I don't know why my dog is afraid of some of the other dog water bottles but he is not afraid of this one. This one holds a lot of water, more than he needs for an afternoon at the dog park because he's 25 pounds. The water holder screws into the bottom when not in use, saving space. It's very easy to use and hold. I've also taken it hiking with my dog too. It's made out of heavy plastic and is sturdy. Whenever we get home, I empty the bottle, clean it out and let it dry immediately to avoid mold.

NOT stainless steel - otherwise - Great travel solution!

This Built Pet Single Wall Stainless Steel Dog Bowl is described as being stainless steel however I cannot find any part of it that is SS. :/ Other than that issue, this is a wonderful solution for offering water to your dog while out and about! The water dish unscrews from the bottom of the bottle making the entire unit extremely easy to use. It also is quick and easy to clean. The only issue I ran into while using it was the discovery that it is just slightly too wide to fit in a standard cup holder, so it ended up rolling around on the floorboard in my truck's backseat. This wasn't an issue as the lid is water tight and didn't leak, however it would've been that much better if it could ride securely in a cup holder or door storage pocket.

Great idea....NOT stainless steel

I love the idea behind this water bottle…water for me, and for my dog! The 32 oz. bottle is large enough to provide a drink for both my Golden Retriever and for me. My dog has always been reluctant to drink out of my hands when I try to cup them and offer her water, and she also has refused the soft-sided dish I’ve tried to use. Though the cup for the dog is kind of small for my Golden, it’s enough like a dish that she’s willing to drink out of it. I would prefer a flip top on the cover so I can grab a sip without having to unscrew the top, but it works the way it is. I was pleased to find that the bottle fits in the side pocket of my backpack…I was worried it was going to be too big. One issue I have…the product title reads: “Built Pet Single Wall Stainless Steel Dog Bowl.” The dog bowl is NOT stainless steel, it is plastic. That’s fine, I don’t mind the fact that it’s plastic, but the product information is very misleading. If you’re looking to purchase this primarily because you’ll be getting a stainless steel dog bowl, you will be disappointed. The only stainless steel anywhere on the bottle are the screws holding the hook to the cover.

Unique Concept, Convenient Way to Stay Hydrated on Walks

I like the idea behind this bottle. I have a separate water bottle for my dog, but this way all you have to carry around is one vessel. The bottom conveniently detaches and doubles up as the drinking bowl for your dog. The bottle fits 34 oz, so plenty for the both of us when we go hiking. I would have preferred the lid to have a spout option for easier drinking, instead of having to unscrew the lid every time I want to take a sip. The dog bowl is a bit small and narrow for my large 65 lb dog. The fact that he also has a long, pointy nose does not help either, but he still manages to drink out of it. Still, this would be better for a small to medium dog owner. There is also the matter of sticking the saliva slobbered cup back onto the bottle once your dog is done drinking... but this is a personal matter and I am sure would not bother most people.

So Cute and Perfect!

This invention is perfect - a human water bottle with a space to store a little dog bowl on the bottom. I love to take my dog out for walks, but I hate how thirsty he often gets. I don't usually pack a backpack, and now, I don't have to. I can just carry my water bottle and pour him a little drink whenever he needs it. The water bottle itself is a good quality. I have already dropped it in a parking lot (whoops), and although it has a little scrape on the side, it did not crack or lose its structural integrity. It doesn't leak, which is great, and the capacity is huge. When I bring it somewhere for my own benefit, it encourages me to drink more water. When I bring it places with my dog, it allows me to stay hydrated while also providing enough inside for him to drink out of, too. The dog bowl is a good quality, as well. It's small, but it's deep. My dog is little, so it's the perfect capacity for him - yea! I am hopeful we will be able to enjoy this product for the years to come. I am thankful for the handle, too. I recommend giving it a try if you are experiencing a similar need I did.

Great for a day out with your pooch

The Tritan plastic on this bottle feels a little thinner than the ones I have from Nalgene and Camelbak, but still feels strong and durable. The wide mouth is great for adding ice, but the bottle sweats like crazy, so keep a cloth handy and don't put in a bag next to your iPad. The removable bowl is a good size for small to medium dogs. It'd be great if BUILT offered a double walled stainless steel version of this bottle, ideally in a couple of sizes, but this will make do.
