Well made but not safe without supervision

I bought this for my 6 year old to use in the bath tub. She has CP with limited mobility. It fit her ok and she was not unsupervised. When she turned her head in the tub the shape caused her to flip over face down into the water. It is very well made but I would not recommend this to people with very limited mobility.

Very buoyant - keeps you in upright position

I'm epileptic and have an in-ground pool and hot tub. I would do anything to have some freedoms back. But after having a seizure in the hot tub, I decided I just can't swim alone. This is so buoyant that I can't actually swim and it will easily let me tilt forward so that my mouth is below the water. If I were to have a seizure, I would still drown. So it doesn't really serve it's purpose for what I was hoping. But for some water exercises, it has worked out great. So it is definitely a good buy for someone just looking for help keeping their head above water.

Good for special needs people

Our 19 year old daughter is completely dependent on us for everything. This neck pillow is a great help in keeping her safe in the pool. She can relax and the pillow is small so it’s not in my way while holding her. It’s a great option for people needing help in the pool.

Keeps my ears above water.

I have a inner ear condition so I have to keep my ears out of the water. This neck pillow allows me to swim elementary back stroke, and relax my head on the pillow, while keeping my ears out of the water. The buckle is easy to adjust while it on my neck. I rinse it with fresh water after every swim to extend the life of the neoprene. It dries very quickly. Love it.

Excellent! Great for bigger kids!

My nine-year-old son was terrified of the water. We had tried swimming lessons for years to no avail. I just knew if I could help him get over his fear of the water, he would swim! However I had to find a way to help him float but also not restrict his arms and legs. Then I saw a baby on a video with a similar device.....and found this. He tried it and was happy to have mobility around the pool. After a couple of weeks of use, my son finally got brave enough to try swimming without it on. He did it! He can now swim thanks to this neck collar! I highly recommend this for people who are absolutely terrified of the water. If it could help my son get over his paralyzing fear, it can help anyone.

easy to do

I use this with my adult son with cerebral palsy and it does what we wanted it to do, that is keep his head above water adequately even when really horsing around. He has a tendency to swallow water and this protects him about 90%. That is enough. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the clasp which although it looks simple, takes a little bit of getting the fabric through the simple clasp... easy to do, but not on someone with disabilities. Still, love this product.

Good head support for handicapped young man

I bought this swim collar as a head support for my son (21), who has cerebral palsy and uses it when he receives aquatic therapy. The clasp is a bit tricky but not impossible and the collar itself keeps his head well-supported and above water. It's soft and comfortable.

Works better than I was expecting! Love it!

Oh my god I love this! I can do my swimming in place on my back with a swim tether & my head doesn’t go under. I love that I can just be fully immersed except my head & I can just relax. Thus really works! It’s comfortable too!

Works and I like it but the strap does bother me a bit, I prefer the one without the strap. But this one wont slip off.

Product is good quality, ordered two at the exact same time and they arrived weeks apart from each other. Other wise its great and I use them supporting individuals who cannot hold their own neck up and it works good for them and the material is soft around their neck which is great!
