Comfortable waist belt.

This is a really comfortble and easy to use waist belt. You fit an ankle leash to your SUP as you normally would, but then instead of attaching it to your ankle you strap it to a loop on the waist belt. If you need to release from your leash in a hurry you can pull a toggle and the ankle strap can fall away. There is a secondary release on this one so you can let the entire waist belt go too, so there is always a toggle you can reach. Putting it on is easy - the release toggles are plastic cam-over buckles and are really secure. It takes a proper tug to release them inentionally, and you won't do it by accident. You can also use these buckles to get a nice fit on your hips. Also included on this belt is a small pocket with drains, that contains a coil of thin rope, and a carabiner. This isn't attached and ready when you buy it, but you need to tie it off to a d-ring inside the pocket. This isn't super useful really - the rope is non-floating for one thing, and it's not very long for another. If you really think you might need something like this you'd be better off buying a proper resuce throw-bag and carry that instead. It is quite handy for tying your board to something, or another board if you want to do some snorkelling or something and not have it drift off, but for safety it's not hugely useful. It's a nice bonus to have, but don't consider it a safety device. If you find ankle leashes a nuisance, or are paddling somewhere where you may need to release from your board in a hurry then this is a really nice belt though. Very comfortable, even against bare skin, very well made, and should last a long time. Nice

Fantastic

Excellent quick release belt ideal for when I am paddle boarding on rivers it has 2 quick release pull cord. One called releases the leash and 1 cord releases the belt. Also on the back of the belt there is a little bag which contains a tow rope and clip. The belt is quite heavy and well made you could make this belt lighter by taking out the rope and clip. Overall I am very satisfied with this quick release belt and it will get a lot of use in the coming months.

Dual release buckle with easy reach.

Even if the belt slips round the waist, the toggles can be easily accessed , so no struggle in a emergency situation. I wouldn’t say that the towline is a heavy duty one, but still can pull up to 400 kg and it is 6 mm thick.It is a professional belt for a decent price.I recommend to be tested a couple of time before getting in to the water, for a quick accommodation.

Safer in fast flowing water. Two quick release buckles.

Paddle boarding is a growing sport. Many activities you would enjoy with your kayak, can also be enjoyed with a paddle board. Many activities such as fishing are even better on a SUP. This belt is built mainly for free flowing water conditions and designed to help you release easily from your board in the event of an emergency. There have been some accidents in the past couple of years with leg leashes on rivers and estuaries where they got entangled. This belt is the answer and attaches to the TPR coil leash and keeps the release mechanisms within easy reach at all times. There are two quick release buckles on this belt situated on the front and the back. In an emergency situation either can be ripped with one strong pull and the entire belt will fall away. The belt is extremely robust and durable and comes with a 5 year warranty. It fits a waist of 28-50 inches. It is padded with foam and made from premium quality materials and hardware. It features a zipped utility pocket which is designed to self drain with a large D ring inside and a wire gate carabiner and a 6mm heavy tow line. With a max load of 400kg this will easily tow an additional board. For me, this is a key feature which could aid the potential rescue of fellow paddle boarders who are in danger on the water. In addition to this, the tow line can also be used in group or family situations when paddling with beginners or children to ensure they stay with their team out on the water. All these design features will keep you safe and in my opinion make it extremely good value. Bluefin is an eco friendly company planting a tree with every sale and using recyclable packaging. I would go further than that and say it’s a community which will endeavour to help you on your paddle board journey. I would definitely recommend this product and I hope that this review helped you.

Comfortable quick release

This is a really comfortable quick release belt, it has a nice padded section and fastens around the front with a quick release buckle. This will be more than comfortable to wear for a full day of paddling. At the rear there is another quick release buckle that attaches to your leash giving you two options of dumping the cord should you get into difficulties. The quick release buckles are strong enough that they won't catch and accidentally release but with a quick firm tug they release and easily drop the leash. I like the fact that they have made the release toggles bright blue so they are easy to see but also easy to feel should you ever need them. The side of the belt also has a pocket which contains a rope and clip, this could be used for a variety of things including towing or tying off your paddle board. Equally if you don't fancy carrying the rope around with you it's an easily accessible pocket to keep anything you need on your travels. Overall this is a well thought out product for those who want to be safe whilst paddling, especially in fast moving waters.
