Initial problems but it worked out
This water bottle was the perfect size for each pair of rabbits. It did initially leak but I did grab pliers and I tightened the nozzle opening where the ball is to make it seal better. Now it doesn’t leak and it’s nice to see the duck in it when the water is running low.

Chew proof but not leak proof
I rescue and release baby squirrels and they will chew up everything in sight. We went through multiple water bottles because they kept chewing the plastic off. We’ve had these bottles a while now and they are definitely chew proof, but they have a steady leak. I am constantly having to clean up water in their cages. I’m not sure if there is a truly leak proof water bottle out there but if there is I need several!

Same as petco, half the price.
The glass bottle is much better than plastic for durability and cleaning. This one goes on the outside of a wire cage. I used it in a tank so I rigged it up to hang inside on a wire coat hanger. It worked. I’m very happy with it, and the rats are able to drink generously. :) seems very sturdy.

Preferable to larger, fancier plastic bottles that obscure water levels
I ordered this 6 oz. glass bottle to replace the much larger plastic bottle that was included with the Kaytee complete starter kit for guinea pigs and small critters. The problem with the previous bottle hinged primarily on the tinting of the bottle, which made it a pain to determine water levels (this should not be rocket science). I'll admit my vision isn't what it used to be, but it shouldn't be necessary to remove the bottle every day to check out remaining supply. (Thanks a lot, Kaytee.) This bottle is an improvement for several reasons: 1.Glass simply keeps standing water fresher for a longer period of time than plastic. 2. If the volume is no more than 6 oz., it's much easier to add the exact amount of Vitamin C supplement (2 drops per oz.) required by your guinea pig. 3. The smaller capacity encourages more frequent exchange of drinking water, assuring your pet of a full and fresh supply. 4. Remaining water supply is alway visible (a floating duck is added for additional convenience to the pet owner). The bottle is probably not for everyone. Owners who have more than one or two pets will no doubt prefer a larger bottle since a 6 oz. bottle might require refills throughout the day. As usual, Kaytee has overlooked a small but critical detail that would be to the owner's convenience (not to mention the pet's safety). Nowhere on the bottle could I find the volume listed, to remind me of the number of droplets of Vitamin C to add to a full bottle to meet my pet's requirements. If Coke and Pepsi can add this detail to all of their bottles, how can Kaytee overlook such a potentially critical detail? Your pet deserves better. (I had to look up the product once again on Amazon to be reminded of total ounces.) Note: I've discovered that the bottle empties out at unpredictable, inconsistent rates. If I'm feeding Sparky lots of fresh vegetable treats, the level will remain unchanged for up to a week (but be sure to check for a clogged funnel). If I'm out of fresh vegetables, leaving Sparky with nothing but pellets and dry Timothy hay, he's capable of emptying half of the bottle in a single day. At least he's kind enough to let me hear about any change in amenities. In fact, ii's only when he wishes to express displeasure that I hear the "wheeking" that guinea pigs are known for.

Decent water bottle, haven't had any of the mentioned issues
I have two of the 12 oz sizes of this water bottle for my rats and when I expanded their cage I wanted to get more. I don't use plastic bottles, so instead of ordering more small ones I decided to try a large bottle despite some of the bad reviews. I have not have any of the mentioned issues. The water dispenses fine, it hasn't stopped working at all, and I haven't even needed to shake air bubbles out or anything like that. I made sure to test it out over a period of time, and it continues to work, my rats drink out of it all the time and the water level goes down as they do, no problems. Of course even if it did malfunction they have other places to get water from in the cage. I haven't experienced any leaking so far either. I already know with the smaller ones that if you put the bottle upside down then right side up again it messes up the suction and can cause leaking, and when you fill the bottle you need to fill it all the way to get it to work well, but I did it from the beginning with this one so I haven't really tested out if it would do the same thing. And it seems to have less problems with dripping in general than the 12 oz. You can mount it on the outside of the cage. I have all of my water bottles on the outside. The flat side does not align properly, it will not sit against the cage, none of mine do, but that does not prevent you from hanging it on the outside. The only thing that could cause a problem is if your bar spacing is too small, but I have 1/2" and it works. Another thing that could be annoying about this bottle is it is noisy. When they drink from it you will be able to hear it from quite a distance, it could bother you if you keep your pets in your bedroom. If you have them elsewhere or you are a heavy sleeper it shouldn't matter. I would definitely recommend this bottle over plastic ones! I don't trust using plastic for my pets only drinking source because of chemicals, and even despite that I don't want them to have that gross plastic taste that cheap plastic gives water. And of course the glass won't get chewed at all.

Fuga

Dog Cone friendly!
Our puppy had some surgery done a few months ago and this product has been a crated dogs life saver. Due to its longer spout it’s made it so much easier for her to drink water without the hassle of knocking over or pulling off the water bowls inside with her cone. And because it’s made of glass. She can’t chew it = BONUS! The only issue is sometimes the threads get tight after putting the spout lid on and it’s fairly hard to turn when trying to change the water due to not much grip to hold onto.
