Vendor places a sticker directly on the rolling pin!

A sticker was placed directly on the rolling pin. After a methodical removal, multiple washings, the stickered area of the pin is colored differently and takes wax / oil differently. Took a light sanding and oiling before it was ready to use. It's a sturdy wooden rolling pin.

Need better quality control

I bought one of these rolling pins years ago and lightly sanded mine when it came as the wood was a bit rough. It smoothed out nicely. It's well seasoned now and fine. A family member needed one and I thought this would make a good Christmas gift, but when the rolling pin arrived, I was disappointed to see the groove-like splinters in the wood. Lightly sanding would not help to smooth the roller out, so sadly, it was returned.

Baking or beating this gets it done

This was a gift bought from a wishlist. My Sister finds "joy" in rolling pins.........Sigh I bought her Maple Bakers rolling pin/ little bit of"joy"... and found it can double as a weapon! I was surprised by the "heft" of this rolling pin ,not heavy but solid. The handles were well made to fit comfortably in your hands as you joyfully roll away. Holding it up, it felt quite.....sturdy. I then realized that this solid piece of wood could do some harm,. Say your happily baking away and suddenly need to protect yourself from ?? the cookie monster ,no worry this rolling pin transforms to a powerful weapon in seconds. I highly recommend this rolling pin for the simple fact it's "serious wood". Great product!! Get rolling! I only gave 4 stars due to my total lack of baking expertise.

A Real Winner!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever be writing a review of a rolling pin. I use it to roll out pasta dough. I love it because the dough doesn't stick to it, at least not very much, and not as much as other rolling pins. Maple seems to be the best wood from which to make a rolling pin, so this is the one you want. It comes in several sizes so look around for the size you're after.

good roller for the price

I am a beginner at baking. I thought that since my mom bought me a Kitchaid mixer for Christmas I may as well start baking. I used this to make peanut butter doggy treats, and it worked perfectly. It has a nice weight to it and the rolling action is not interrupted at all. Overall I like this roller.

Good pin. Durable and does it's job.

I've owned this pin now for two years. I had three children five and under and it's survived all their abuse. Like all the other kitchen gadgets we keep finding this under a bed or in a kid's closet but unlike the other stuff this hasn't broken or bent.

Great for Children!

This rolling pin is what I would call average. My fault maybe I should have bought a larger one. It is light weight, I prefer a heavier one, however rolls o.k. My main concern is that the handles are not long enough to comfortably use and as my husband likes to cook the pin is not high enough to place his fingers underneath the handles, not even for me. As I said, great for Children, smooth, rolls well, just too small.

Nice/Well Made

Just received. Who on earth would put an ultra sticky label on the rolling part. Handles are long enough. Rolls very nicely. Is nice and light weight which is what I wanted.

Great investment

Looked tiny when i first opened the package... but then i used it to roll out some pizza dough.... it worked beautifully! I felt like my eyes were finally opened as to how a REAL rolling pin should work! Some things in life are worth paying a little more. This is one of them!

Nice, light weight rolling pin

Nice, light weight rolling pin to replace the one had for almost 40 years. I washed and dried it and oiled it before using and it is quite nice. Rolls smoothly and is easy to handle. I would recommend it highly.
