Great little scissors.
Perfect size. Sharp. Great for trimming herbs and tender plants.

Ok but not what I wanted.
I bought these for precision cutting and they arent the best for that, though great for taking down big plants with thick stems. Just doesn't have a small tip like I wanted, a bit too thick for precision pruning.

I use em for office scissors, NOT gardening)
These r great IMO IF you don't need flexibility of cutting, trimming almost size encountered with one shear and have many hrs. of work to do. For me, any spring loaded snips r prone to give me numbing in hands after awhile. I have learned the slide locks do not hold up for me. I prefer the ARS brand, have collection of varied ARS snips and some decades old but perform like those right out of the box. Working, just toss em in jar of alcohol and keep working then wipe em down and on i go. Oil and tighten screw every few yrs). Better than other bonsai or botanicals snips, ARS brand stays super sharp and admit have no problems if cutting fine, fine manicure or thru that massive main stem. For all your oils, butters, tinctures, salves, lotions..use code for discount http://magicalbutter.refr.cc/G88G4CL Happy!

... of bonsai shears I own - but they work great and feel good in my hand
This is the only set of bonsai shears I own - but they work great and feel good in my hand. They are good for pruning the many small branches of my Serissa. The build quality and materials seem nice (I'm critical of poor build quality and design). The interior of the handles where you touch them with your fingers is rubberized, which makes them feel nice while you use them and adds a level of practical grip. The green plastic feels hard and durable. Would recommend to anyone who needed small indoor shears for basic pruning of bonsai or other small plant.

Really Good But ...
I love these shears. Big handles for my extra large hands, really sharp, cutting little errant branches on my bonsai is a breeze BUT they rust. I live on Long Island and everything not coated in grease rusts but these things live indoors and are used sparingly. I would have expected the stainless steel to be better than it is. I'm sure the rust is just surface marking and would easily clean up with a scour pad but I don't think it should be there at all considering the conditions it works in. I was going to buy another pair but have decided to go with a different brand, they are a little cheaper and they haven't rusted on me yet.

These work well on my African violets.
Nice little shears. I'm using them to remove spent flowers and leaves from my African violets. My regular kitchen scissors worked OK for the job, but these are a bit more nimble because of the thinner blades, which can more easily get between the leaves. I keep them on my plant stand so they're handy. So far they're holding up great and seem to be of decent quality. They feel nice in my hand, which I like. Good tools like this are a pleasure to use.

These are great shears. They open and close very smoothly and trim my plants better then any other shears I have used. The tip is rounded which I thought might not be too great but they still do that fine trimming as good as the pointed scissors others sell. I highly recommend these to anyone doing fine trimming on there Bonsai plants.
