Complete Repair Kit For Small Holes
Part of the joys of being a homeowner involve dealing with the occasional sheetrock repair around the house. It is not a question of if but when you are going to need to patch up a hole in the sheetrock. The big advantage of the Hyde sheetrock repair kit is that it is all inclusive. It has self-adhesive tape, the patching compound, a smoothing tool and sandpaper. So, you really do have everything you need to patch a hole in the sheetrock. There are easy to follow instructions. I’ve purchased the individual items separately from the local hardware store and doing it that way is much more expensive. And buying a large tub of smacking compound you end up throwing most of it away. This is a much better approach. My advise would be to take your time, follow the instructions. The most important thing is having some good matching touch up paint.

Nice product
We have used this drywall repair kit during our recent house painting project. Instead of purchasing each individual material it comes all together this is very convenient for a small project. There were some small nail holes, as well as some larger holes on the wall and we were able to repair all of them. It comes all together in a single pack and two joint compounds in the tube. It was very easy to apply with a tube and spread with a plastic applicator. To repair a bigger hole we used a self-adhesive patch, and applied a thick layer of coat a couple of times still I did not observe any cracks when it dried out. I can say it is a must-have drywall repair kit that saves your money and time.

Handy that all of the supplies are in one place
Works pretty well. Once I got started, I realized I have a lot of places to use this. I keep drifting back to childhood memories of being a military brat and hearing about parents using Crest toothpaste to fill holes in the paste- green-painted walls of our quarters, since we were not supposed to have put nails in the walls in the first place. Makes me wish for a time machine. But I guess the green color of the toothpaste was part of the "fix." I digress. This is a great tool and it can be recapped and used again if you don’t have too many holes to fix at once.

perfect for DIY work
this is a perfect kit for all the small holes you've put in the walls over the year from hanging photos, seasonal decor, moved the TV mount, or even kids wacking the wall too hard with the doorknob (the last one is mine). follow the instructions and you will be golden to getting your house looking new again!

Took a long time to dry
We used this to repair the wall in our living room. It was easy to apply and smooth out. It did however have a chemical smell and took a long time to dry.

Really great kit with everything you need to fix minor wall repair issues.
I have two sons that are extremely active, and ironically, my 14 year old seems to always bang into something doing something silly - more so than our youngest one does. I had just gotten this Hyde Tools Better Finish Wall Repair Patch Kit and had it no more than a day or two when my son thought it would be a bright idea to grab his skateboard and roll across the floor really fast on it...sailing straight into the wall, leaving an indentation in the dry wall (the skateboard did, not his body, thankfully!). Argh! I handed him this kit and said, "Get to work, buddy! You're fixing this." (I helped him do it, though - but still!!) This was really easy to use and had everything we needed to patch it up and get it ready for some touch-up paint. After we were done, you can't even tell it ever happened. Nice little kit, and easy to use! I highly recommend having it on hand if you have kids that love to do crazy stuff in the house. :) It gets two thumbs up from this household!
