Works well, chord short and bracket flimsy

So far it works well. I ordered it for my CharBroil infrared grill, but decided to install it on my CampChef smoker instead. It would have been a direct fit for my gril. To install on my smoker I had to make 3 holes and that was it, so it is universal. Only gave it 4 stars because the chord is only 9" long or so, so it makes it basically useless. I had to run two chords to my smoker and couldn't even use a splitter with one chord. The mounting bracket for the motor is kind of flimsy, so potentially it could bend enough the rotisserie bar could fall out. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

Works great

Fit our charbroil grill well and first rotisserie chicken came out good.looking forward to using it more. I put foil under chicken to catch drippings. Just cook on minimum temp till chicken is 165deg inside.

Easy to assemble

It's super easy to assemble but be ready to drill holes in the mount. The holes wouldn't line up on my particular grill. Not a big deal. It does sit alittle low so I'm guessing a turkey or goose won't fit but I haven't taken the grates out to see for sure...

ONE MISSING PART . . .

. . . which was the 26" spit rod. Very important item. Entire thing is USELESS without it. Returned? You can bank on it! UPDATE (8/2/22) I've been watching this item since last years debacle. Price was dropped dramatically so, (ONE MORE TIME!) I ordered it. This time ALL the pieces were there! Installation was on a 4 burner "Char Broil" grill I bought last year. NEW DEVELOPMENT: The spit is NOT long enough to traverse the entire grill surface; HOWEVER, a bracket was included to accommodate this problem (WHEW!). Installing the motor bracket was "interesting". The oblong holes were not wide enough to allow the heads of the bolts to go through. Thank God I used to be a "technician" (mechanic with a degree) prior to retirement. Got out my Dremel tool and widened out the holes to allow the bolts to be inserted into the proper mounting holes. After installing the unit and a "no load" test run, I discovered the hood would not close all the way and came to rest on the rotating spit. So after spending several hours rummaging through tons and tons of junk hardware (NEVER throw old used hardware away!) I was able to kluge 2 devices that are inserted into the left and right upper grill assembly support holes (it HAS to come out while using the rotisserie) allowing me to close the lid ~95% and keeping it from contacting the rotating spit. Now to get some meat (whole chickens, turkey, roast(s), ribs) and give it a "test by fire".

Not "Universal".

Buyer beware...this is not a "universal" product for all Charbroil grills. I purchased this for our Charbroil Performance Gas grill and it simply doesn't fit. The holes do not line up with the pre-drilled holes on the grill, and the racks are too tall. I found that in order to use it with our grill I had to modify it by cutting the lower end of the motor side off so that I could mount it to the side of the grill. Once I did that, I could line up the spit to the cut-out on the opposite side of the grill. This is too much work for a "universal" Charbroil product.

Dont buy if in UK

Stopped working after 5 mins - can't return as it has to be in the original condition!! Need to buy one with 240V, this one is only 120V. I think they need to explain that when you buy it - it is definitely not universal as stated. Wouldnt even give it one star....

Excelente producto

The media could not be loaded. Me gustó mucho ya que es económico y funcional. Desde antes de comprarlo sabía que iba a ser difícil adaptarlo a mi asador weber de 18". Hice unas bases con tubular cuadrado de 1/2 y 3/4 para sostener el motor y la base que va del otro lado de la flecha y funcionó muy bien. Tiene buen torque y rotación. En el video puse un pollo de 2.5 kg y quedo de maravilla después de 2 horas y media de asado, mi esposa quedo encantada. Ya he preparado costilla de cerdo, pollo rostizado y borrego asado y ha quedado de lujo. Por lo económico y lo que inviertes en unas bases vale la pena y no se compara con otras opciones. También compré una canasta para hacer alitas que se le puede adaptar a la flecha !

Works fine, but not what I expected

Works fine, but it is not what I was expecting. However it is NOT the manufacturers fault. This is a UNIVERSAL fit rotisserie. My suggestion is to pay close attention to the item details about this product. (I did not) The rotisserie skewer is a bit short. They also do not have a handle at one end of the skewer for when you want to remove it from the BBQ. You will need oven gloves near buy. They do make provisions for the shorter skewer. There will be additional hardware to accommodate for the shorter skewer. However I would have rather paid closer attention before ordering this particular one. I cannot fault the manufacturer for this.

Motor stopped working during second use

I have a CharBroil 4 burner grill with built in places for a rotisserie. The first time I used it, I had to babysit it the whole time as the rack would come off the stand. I chalked it up to user error and inexperience with this device. By the end I SEEMED to have gotten the hang of it. The second time I used it I began to hear noises from the motor. When I checked on it, the motor would only turn about a half turn in one direction, stop, and then turn slightly in the opposite direction. Even without the weight of the chicken, the motor would continue like this. Too costly to ship back for refund.
