Not bad, but not without a few annoyances

I purchased this with the intent to use it for a number of potential different uses both indoor and outdoor. Overall, I think this is a good product; it's solid and well-constructed, as GE products generally are. However, there are two things that I am finding make this a bit annoying to use: 1. The dial can be a bit tricky to work with sometimes. The way it is recessed into the main body of the timer, it makes it a bit difficult to pull up some of the segments around the dial. Yes, one can "try using the tip of a pen or pencil" to do so (as the instructions themselves say!), but it would be nicer not to have to find a crude tool anytime one wants to change the timing on this. Also, the cover plate, while it likely works well to keep out the elements if used outdoors, is spring-loaded and can be a bit annoying to keep out of the way while setting the dial. 2. The instructions are very limited. They only have the most basic of information, and I have at least half-a-dozen questions on how to use the timer that are not answered by what is in the instructions (such as things that are okay to do while setting the dial, and things that one should NOT do. What will ruin this timer, and what won't?). Of course, these are minor issues, but I do find them annoying. Again, it's not a bad product, but I would say that if your needs will be met with a similar product yet with a different design, choose the other one instead.

As described but way too late

Got product a month after ordering it. I am using it as timers for Christmas decorations.

Great for outdoor use

These are great for outdoor use which is why I purchased. But for me I would not use indoors I use a direct plug in model. Love how the timer sets up and the cover. These are heavy duty and since original box damaged in shipping but repackaged by Amazon the product was not damaged and works. Worth the cost.

Timer is on Time

I purchased this especially to time our December holiday lights. It is easy to use and keeps accurate time. Unlike a similar model of a different brand (that I purchased before), the door stays closed, and the unit works at a convenient angle. If I need another timer, this is the one I'll buy!

Works as it should.

The price was right. I purchased this timer to use on a spa pump. Even though it only has the little tabs for setting the on and off operation I wish it had a on and off button, but it does not. I'm still happy with it. It works great.

Never failed even after Hurricane IAN.

Purchased this in 2020 for out door lanai rope lights on the ground. They worked perfectly for the past two years. During Hurricane IAN we took everything inside. Post Hurricane IAN as we tried to regain some sense of normalcy we had our pacers power washed and sand got into the unit. Buying two more units now because it’s a great product.

Durable in any weather

My husband bought this to time the string of backyard lights he hung for me during the fall and I have been in love with my backyard ever since. We’ve had snow, rain and high winds and my lights still come on like clock work!! It isn’t bulky and isn’t distracting as I barely even notice it’s there. It’s easy to use and definitely water resistant. I highly recommend this product!

Great Timer

This timer is simple to use, has a cover t protect it from the weather. It works great, just pull up or push down on the dial -so easy. Definitely recommend it
