So far so good
Zilla Reptile Pet Habitat Lighting & Terrarium Heat Power Center Timer, Digital ~ $22.46 EDIT / Update Oct 06, 2022 A little over 2 weeks of use and I really love this thing but2 or 3 times now it's completely lost it's memory and reset. I'm not blaming the timer yet as it's been when I was either repositioning domes or brushed up against the wires going to the timer. And it's odd that it completely looses it's memory because if I unplug the whole power strip the backup battery does do it's job of holding the time and my program in memory with the power removed, and everything is right back where it belongs when plugged back in... so I don't think it's a loose connection interrupting power. And any time I intentionally jostle/wiggle/move the domes and wires around, flip the switches on and off on those that have them, trying to determine if I have a dome with a short or bad bulb or something, or what's causing it, I can't get it to happen. So not sure what's going on yet. Most days it's rock solid then occasionally when I'm doing something close to the terrarium the timer clicks, same click like it's switching from day to night, my lights are off schedule and I look at the timer and the clock is reset to 12:00 and my program is gone. But can't reproduce it, don't see anything damaged, no crackling or burning anywhere, none of my domes or bulbs flicker or act weird in any way, everything seems perfectly normal, but something is going fiddly somewhere and not sure if the culprit is the timer being wonky or one of my lights. And I'm far from overloading the power strip... A 35 watt halogen in an always on outlet which I do manually, a 13 watt UVB CFL and a full spectrum CFL on the day outlets, and a 25 watt ceramic on a night outlet. So nothing conclusive but thought it was worth mentioning. I'll post back when I get to the bottom of things. Original Review Sept 20, 2022 Was feeling bad about my snakes having a jacked up schedule relying on me to switch their lights and was ready to get the mechanical Zoo Med one. I feel like the mechanical ones are simple and less to go wrong. But luckily realized that one didn't have a night setting and opted for this one. I'm generally good with programming electronics but did need to consult the directions for this guy. But it's gravy once you wrap your head around it. It has timer settings where you can have one simple schedule that's repeated 7 days a week, another where you have one schedule for M-F and another for the weekend, and another where you can set a different schedules for every day of the week. It also has a mode button so you can manually switch the timer controlled outlets to day or night at any given time without disturbing your timers and put it back to timer mode when you're done. No way to ever have the day and night outlets both on or both off though, but not a big deal. And I like that it has a backup battery so it maintains the time during a power outage. A funny little quirk is when you first set it up it will need to go through one cycle of whatever time it is currently before it kicks the lights on. So if it's day when you initially program it, the day lights wont come on until it goes through that 1st day cycle it's in the midst of. Not a big deal and you can just switch it to manual until that initial cycle completes. Only had it 24 hours but love it so far and as long as it lasts I will be really pleased with it. And it's great for a small to medium sized aquarium as well with just enough always on outlets for filter, air, heat, and one left over. And if you have it for just a single fairly simple set up terrarium it's even useful for non-terrarium stuff near by. Obligatory Night Light Rant: Yes I know reptiles can have their sleep or circadian rhythms disturbed by night lights. But night is rarely completely dark in nature with the moon in existence. And all I have for my main snake enclosure at night is a single 1.5 watt blue LED bulb (frosted even, so no glaring diode or filament) in a mini dome. It's just enough to see, very similar in my opinion to moonlight, but I know it's not exactly replicating that spectrum-wise. But I think they realize the cycle between that (which also coincides with no sun coming in the windows and gradual transition to no lights on in the room) and simulated day of full on UVB and halogen (which also coincides with sun light filling the room they see outside their terrarium). And with such a faint blue light their hides and some other spots are completely dark. And the aquarium goes to an admittedly fairly bright blue LED strip around 8pm but that gets turned off manually at bedtime. And I plan to get yet another one of these for my 10 gallon baby/quarantine tank which which is on a dresser in the living room, and will kill the tanks UVB/mini-halogen plus a near by lamp, and switch on the living room's amber night light about 8' away. So I think there's a lot of uses and convenience in the night light setting that can be used responsibly. You could even switch to no light at all options like a ceramic emitter or heat mat at night if you needed to for when the halogen isn't on. And if Zilla reads this I would love to have a 10 outlet one of these with a 3rd cycle for dawn/dusk. Dawn/dusk would be 2 outlets for simple UVB or maybe full spectrum, Full Mid-day would be the 2 Dawn/Dusk outlets plus 2 more outlets to ramp it up kicking on the halogen basking lamp, maybe an additional UVB. Then back to the dawn/dusk setting for simple UVB till night. How cool would that be? OR what would be even more slick would be again leave the night as is, but have 4 day outlets come on in succession then turn off in succession. A ramp up to full day then ramp back down. Whatever exact time and bulb settings the user wanted but you could do something like 6am outlet day1 kicks on a full spectrum, then 7am we add outlet day2 a UVB, then 8:30am outlet day3 kicks on another UVB, then 10am outlet day4 kicks on the basking lamp, and all 4 would be on till say 3pm when the basking shuts off. 4pm outlet day3 shuts off loosing some UVB intensity, 6pm outlet day2 shuts off and we're left with just some full spectrum lingering from outlet day1 till 8pm when night mode kicks in.

Best product I have purchased for my reptiles
Getting this I was a little worried about it not working. But it was super simple to set up and works great! Definitely a great purchase! Highly recommend

GREAT upgrade. I had one from long ago!
This is a great upgrade as compared to the one we had use previously! Same brand but this one is much better, just hope it lasts as long!

Save your money.
I bought this and had issues with the initial set up even after reading and re-reading the manual many times, so I did what any logical person in this generation would do and watched a Youtube video on how to do so. I got it all programmed properly, and it simply didn't work. I managed to get a replacement through amazon, I was hopeful it was just a defective item. Nope. Set it up properly once again, it turned my lights on once the time I had set came around, and then immediately turned them off for no reason. Nothing but three seconds of light when I had a full 12hr on scheduled, no issues with my lights themselves, just a poorly performing product. The only use it serves is using the two ports that do not run off a timer (p.s. a regular power strip serves the same purpose but is much more reliable and cheaper.) I do not recommend to any other reptile owners, this product has many issues and its reliable enough to trust your pets care with- even something as simple as turning a light on and off.

Big Problem
It loses the program and time setting when you unplug stuff.

Life saver….but could be better
I really was in need of a product like this. I have a bearded dragon and my sleep schedule is constantly changing. I’m always turning the lights on and off at different times, causing her to have a unbalanced schedule as well. I needed one for day, night, and 24:7 so this product was PERFECT. it shipped fast and I had no problems. As most of the other reviews say, setting it up was tricky but I watched a great YouTube video that explained everything. My only issue is mine doesn’t display AM or PM. I contacted support and they offered a refund but I didn’t see it necessary because it was working. They gave me a “partial refund” for 5$ Amazon credit. Overall it’s been working just as described! My bearded dragon seems happy as well.

outstanding product, but be aware of the 24 hour cycle requirement.
Product works great. Does exactly what I need and some. You definitely need to read the manual about the programming and take note that it takes 24 hours for the auto on to start working. It’s not a 24 hour wait for which I did not give five stars.

Stops working properly after a week
I've had this product for a while, it's being used in a grow tent for succulents. For the last few months I couldn't for the life of me figure out why my plants were so sun stressed; well, as it turns out, the clock on the power bar isn't actually ticking. Everything else works, you can still progran and what not, but the clock does not move forward. This whole time, the grow lights were not turning off when they were supposed to. Worst programmable power bar I've ever had. ***EDIT: Apparently unplugging the power bar and removing the battery will reboot the power bar. Clock starting working again afterwards. Not sure if it will crap out again, or how often a reboot will required, but clearly it will need monitoring, defeating the purpose of timer programming

Doesn't work, would not trust for my pet. Contacted seller and never got a response.
Well it just doesn't work. I would not reccomend buying this product. It works as a power bar, if you want to overspend on a power bar for no reason. It will power things, but the whole point of this device is so that I can rely on it to schedule the on/off times of various parts of my vivarium set up for my pet reptile and I've never had the programmed times stay longer than a few days before the date/time and my programmed schedules would all be reset or wrong. I could not and would not trust this with my animal's wellbeing. It was a while before I got to actually use this after I bought it, so I could not get a return. When I contacted the seller through Amazon I never got a response back.

A must buy for any reptile owner!
This is a great item to own and use if you own a reptile! There are two timed outlets for daytime, two timed outlets for nighttime and four regular outlets. To explain it better, when the daytime outlets are on, the nighttime ones are off and vice-versa, while the regular outlets are always on. So for my one snake, I use one daytime outlet for its lighting and one regular outlet for the hot patch underneath the terrarium. I don't use any nighttime outlet since I don't use any lamp during the night. Each outlet can be conveniently shut with a circular slider to keep unused ones free of debris. The cord is not extra long but it's enough. The reason I don't go to 5 stars is the timer itself. While it's working very nicely for now, I see how it could prove unreliable. The display is kinda cheap and the buttons can be a bit hard to push correctly. The settings are good though, and there are enough options to satisfy more complicated needs, like daily schedules, but I don't personally need this. The memory is retained with a battery (can't remember the number, one of those larger watch-like batteries) and has for now sustained a few electricity cuts without loosing the settings, so this works properly. So in my opinion this item is definitely worth the buy! Let's hope it'll work for years to come!

Demasiado complicado
