Defective Units and Very Poor Customer Service from Gardena
I have been using Gardena products for decades and always appreciated their innovative products. Unfortunately this has changed. I have purchased two 6334-FP Frost Proof Watering Wands and both had problems. The second and most recent purchase in March 2020 now has a large leak where the wand extension meets the hand held control part. I have unscrewed the metal tube and am unable to find the source of the leak. The washer and plastic threads all seem to be find. Also, in spite of cleaning the spray head holes, the stream comes partly from the center as if the "switch" from stream to spray does not properly engage. The first unit is out of warrantee, but the water adjustment lever snapped off. Like the newer unit the wand leaks and the spray is not uniform. Okay, these things can happen, so I contacted Gardena Customer Service on Sep 12, 2020. I gave them the Amazon order number and mentioned in two places in my email that I was in the United States. I also included my full address and country. On Sep 24, 2020 they finally responded. They were unable to determine where I was located so I would have to go to their web site and find my local service. This is odd since I told them exactly where I was located. I went to the site to get my contact location for service. I typed "United States" and got "no locations available" response, then I typed "Canada" and got "no locations available". So I contacted Amazon who promptly issued a return authorization and will refund my money - GREAT SERVICE Amazon! Unfortunately the wands just don't stand up to normal use so I can't recommend them.

Doubt that this wand is upto the rigors of daily use.
The jury is out on this one. The female connector is built into the handle; it doesn't screw in like most other Gardena devices I have purchased. The good side is that it doesn't leak. The bad side is that when it wears out with use, the who wand will have to be scraped. The pistol grip device for keeping the water on, without having to use hand pressure, was dead on arrival. It sort of worked before it was connected to a hose, but won't work when there is water pressure. The defice for adjusting the water flow is a flimsy plastic level that I expect will break off in use. On the positive side, I like the 180 degree rotation of the spray end. The wand will be useful for hosing bugs off of the underside of leaves--the only reason I am keeping it. Hopefully, it will be frost-proof as claimed. But with my classic Gardena water wands, I just unsnap them from the hose and bring them inside in freezing weather. Only has a two year warranty, suggesting that Gardena also thinks it won't last long.

Gardena is an excellent product but excellence can have its hiccups too.
Gardena is an excellent product I always choose to purchase this product over any others and will continue to do so. That being said I had one problem with the watering wand. Handle leaks, not at the connector but at the ventral portion of the wand. I have covered it with water proof tape to manage that irritation of getting my arms soaked when I water my hanging pots. I still like the wand but don't like the leak.

Wonderful design, poor quality
Bought this for my mom and several other Gardena watering wands over the years. She has arthritis and found this brand works great for her. Gardena products are high quality, but all develop leaks over time and end up soaking her while watering. This was the first time trying this model and I thought it may hold up better since it’s made to be frost tolerant. Just over a month after purchasing (and out of Amazon’s return period) it has already developed a leak in the lower part of the handle. This is not in a replaceable part, but part of the handle (see picture). I’m afraid I have to change brands. Amazon says it’s out of the return window and Gardena doesn’t even list a customer service number to reach someone at. At $60-70 a pop, these should be a bit sturdier.

This works very well.
It is a great pistol grip.... but the tip tilts up and down. That tilt does not sound like much until you wander around watering things. That is very convenient.

Frostproof, well made, a bit on the expensive side, but works great! Love It!

Nice product but expensive for what it is.!
Nice well-constructed product. I do worry about its longevity. For the money, I would hope to get 4 or 5 seasons out of it. Time will tell.
