I'm correcting my earlier, negative review

This is a fine watering wand if it isn't in extended mode. But if you extend it, there is substantial water leakage around the bottom of the extension. So, at least with my product, it's useless for that back-saving feature. The package arrived beat up, with no padding inside it. But I don't think the shipping created the problem. NEW: When I extended the want there was a firmly fixed fastener near the nozzle. I thought it might need to be screwed onto the lower part of the want, but it seemed that moving it would break it. I finally got the courage to force it to slide down the upper wand, and then I could fasten it to the lower wand. It no longer leaks. Instructions, other than the simple illustration included, would have helped avoid the problem, as would a more easily moved fastener.

Don’t let it touch the dirt

It works great until you get too close to the dirt in the potted plants. The second time I used this, the head was clogged with dirt. I had to use a fine wire to unclog all the tiny holes. But, once it was clear of dirt it works great. Switching between sprays is simple. The switch on the wand is variable so you can control the spray. It’s a great tool to help with the watering just be careful not to get too close dirt.

Great watering wand, works well for hanging baskets and hard-to-reach-under plants

Super product! This watering wand makes it easy to water exactly where needed and only as much as needed. The pivoting nozzle and easy on-off control means I can water the hanging baskets without also hosing down the side of the house. Works well for hard-to-reach-under plants, which keeps them healthier with less water waste. There are many spray pattern choices but I usually use only a few-- the shower one for under most plants, the full or jet for reaching the trees (I shoot at the large rocks to break the force of the spray and keep the water going down to the roots at the tree's drip line). Once I fixed the wand length to what worked for me, I rarely use it, but it is easy to change.

Great for Watering Porch/Patio/Garden Plants

I've only used this a handful of times but I'm pleased with the construction and design so I'm writing about that today. Super easy assembly! The water is dispersed evenly and gently for close watering of porch plants or stronger shower for your garden. There is a padded handle and a lever control that I absolutely love! Not more holding down the nozzle... This is sturdy structure and I'm not afraid of breakage and so far it doesn't leak.

It leaks at the hose connection

I think the hose washer is a little weak as it leaks at the juction of the hose and the water wand. Otherwise, it works as it was designed. I just wish it wouldn't waste water all over me, but it is cooling on a hot day. I guess I need to look for another hose washer and see if that fixes the problem.

Makes watering so much easier!

I wish I would have purchased one of these a long time ago. Surprisingly easier than just a hose nozzle. I have other Melnor tools with the quick connect and have been pleased with them. This thing makes watering all of my plants "at the base of the plant" SO much easier, much less spray on the leaves. I don't have any leakage to speak of (if you do, check that you've properly threaded the connector) and it's easy to operate and appears sturdy. I can't say if it will last more than one season, but if it doesn't, I won't hesitate to buy a new one every year if needed. Anyone with plants to water needs this.

Regadera de extensión, para plantas colgantes.

Excelente, producto. La recibí, un día antes de lo indicado. Buena opción para regar plantas colgantes, además de tener varias formas de riego, muy recomendable, así como su mango de cubierta no permite, se resbale al usarla, y regadera en varias posiciones de riego.
