Curled my hair in literally half the time
I literally curled my hair in half the time and mind you, I am terrible with hair. I didn’t have to be good at it! Just wrap the strand of hair around the wand for 8 secs and you’re golden. I have super thick hair, dyed blonde and I have extensions and I got it all done within 30 mins. Plus my hair didn’t feel fried after, it felt really nice, like I just left the salon. Give it a try!

I have liked this one
I have liked this one. I wish it heated up just a little bit hotter. I have a Ginalli version of this one in the 1/2" barrel, and it gets hot enough for me. This one doesn't always heat the curl enough for it to last long, unless I really keep it in for a while and then hold the curl until it cools in my hand. I have even had my hair dryer on the ready, and given the newly minted, hot curl in my hand a little cool air with my hair dryer cool shot. That helps, when I have the time to deal with it. The other thing I don't like is the design of the switch. It is situated such that it gets accidentally turned off while I am using the curling iron, and I don't always notice. I do have very long hair (almost down past my waist) and I have quite a lot of it, even though it is fine. So, when I'm in the groove of using this curling iron, I forget to maybe check to see if it is still on. It is when I notice that my hair isn't holding the curl, that I will realize it has been turned off as I'm using it. This is not an automatic turn of, it is because the switch is located right where it can be bumped by your thumb as you are using the iron. So, pay attention. I will say this. The price is great for this iron.

So worth the money
I love love love the Sultra Bombshell curling iron. This is the same one my stylist uses at the salon and after trying at home with my cheap drugstore clipless curling iron and failing to get the same (or really any) results, I gave in and decided to get this one for myself. My review is mainly from trying it at the salon, and i'll explain why in a minute. It heats up super fast, the size is perfect, I like that the barrel is not tapered like some other brands, and even someone like me who isn't that adept at styling can make a great style with it. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for and I know this will pay for itself in the long run. The only reason this loses a star is for the purchasing process itself. The first one I ordered arrived clearly used! The instruction manual was bent and you could tell someone had used it, and the actual product box was torn on the corners and obviously had been opened before, and then retaped with scotch tape on one side and you could see the difference where the other side had the original tape from the manufacturer. Not cool when I paid this much for this item so i'm sending it back and ordering another one that is hopefully NEW this time. So I haven't used the item I received yet since i'm waiting for another one, but I was able to try it sufficiently at the salon enough to take a chance and buy one here so that tells you how much I trust that its a great product.

Awesome curling rod - gives sexy big loose curls!!!
My hairdresser used this on me and my curls looked amazing! Naturally, I went home thinking I had to have this product! Luckily, Amazon had it. I got the product super fast and it was in new packaging. Everything was really easy to open. I received the rod curling iron, the glove, and the heat wrap. The iron has only one setting but it works really well and my hair does not appear to be damaged. Of course, I recommend using a heat protection product before using this. I have really very fine straight hair and people usually struggle with trying to get my curls to stay. This iron is so AWESOME! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my sexy, big loose curls. My curls held up the first day even without hair spray! I highly recommend practicing with the tool a few times until you get the hang of it to prevent getting burned. The glove does protect you from getting burned but the heat is still prevalent if you set your curl too long. I'm not very good at curling my hair and used to struggle with other curling rods from Hot Tools and Enzo Milano. My hot tools rod just completely died on me even though I barely used it over the last 3 years and the Enzo one didn't give me the same type of curls I was looking for. Seriously if I can do this...anyone can. I used to take hours to curl my hair...now I only take 5-10 minutes! I highly recommend to anyone is a beginner to styling and who wants nice loose curls. So happy I bought this one! Hopefully, it lasts for years!

Love it, worth the price.
I had been in the hunt for a curling rod 3/4 curling rod/iron, and this is the best one of all that I tried. I have long hair, so my curls do not hold up well with my larger curling rods unless I used hair spray which I prefer not to. I have always used the 1" and 2", but the result is a loose wave that may end up being flat by the end of the day. This smaller curling rod makes for tight curls, depending on how much hair you add to each section. Less hair per section, will give you tighter curls; more hair will give you looser a beautiful wave. I tend to like the tighter curl because it gives me more volume, and by the end of the day I end up with just beautiful loose waves that last a few days (depending on how deep my sleep is lol). Sometimes I just leave the tight curls which looks really cute, but most of the times after my hair has cooled I run my fingers thru the curls to brake them up and loosen. This curling rod warms up very quickly and its very hot so please be careful and use the provided glove. Because its so hot you don't have to hold each section very long, again, all depending on how much hair per section you are doing. The finished product are beautiful curls that hold up thru a busy day. Love it. Its exactly what I wanted.

Curls don’t last as long as prior model
I’ve had a sultra wand for about 10 years, it was great! Unfortunately it stopped working so I bought this one, which is decent, but the curls don’t last as long and some last more than others so I’m thinking the heat distribution is off, will continue to use and update my review if anything changes. If you’re not used to wands it takes time to adjust to it without burning yourself as the wand is very hot and it has no heat control.

Great curls!
This rod is amazing. The curls actually last! However there is no temp control and it seems to dry my hair a little. It also takes a while to fully heat up. I like that it turns itself off after 30 minutes just in case I forget. Comes with a glove and mat to set it on.

fine hair that is impossible to get volume with
I have REALLY straight, fine hair that is impossible to get volume with. Anyway this 1” rod works on me!!! I Do find the glove very helpful and useful as it does get hot. But practice makes perfect with each use. The curls do loosen up throughout the day but it makes it look even more natural with that wavy look! When I got it, I had long hair and I cut my hair short, just to my shoulders and it’s AWESOME! It was definitely worth the purchase for me as I’ve used cheaper ones before but the curls don’t last.

No temperature control
I bought this assuming it had temperature control (I promise I read all of the details before ordering but somehow missed this), it has 1 temperature and that's 375. Not ideal if you don't require high temp and are trying to minimize damage to your hair by using a low temp. Returned.

Excellent iron
This is an amazing curling iron and I have had many. It curls my hair like no other and it holds the curl. It creates the perfect sized waves and it doesn't burn my hair. You know when you see girls with those gorgeous cascading waves? This is what they are using (then they pin up the waves and let them cool down and set). This iron is worth the money but as with any wand/clamp-free iron you need to watch not to burn yourself as they get very hot and the glove provided is not the best.
