Missing Pencil Sharpener & used Markers

Item was used and missing parts. This was the second set ordered. The first was flawless and a great buy. The second was missing pieces and used.

On par with Crayola - great sharpener

These happened to arrive on the evening of a thunder storm that knocked out our power and closed the only road leading out of our neighborhood while we had some family visiting. The kids ran around, played card games, took a walk outside before it got really dark. Then my sister in law and I opened the package and starting doodling at my huge kitchen island. Before long EVERY one of the 6 kids aged 14 down to 6 had gathered around and started drawing. They were at it for about 45 minutes until the candles were burning low and it was time to send them to bed. In my short experience with them, I found the quality to be equal with the Crayola stuff we usually buy. The double ended markers were cool; the kids thought that was fun and different. The points were nice and sharp and the colors vibrant. They went on smoothly and didn’t bleed on the sketch of paper we were using. The colored pencils were pre-sharpened, and also had nice bright color and good coverage. The triangular shape was barely noticeable though. Maybe if I had been coloring for a long time I would have appreciated their subtle triangle shape. The kids really liked the sharpener, especially the fact that it has a dedicated colored pencil hole. I didn’t use it myself but I saw even the youngest of them use it with ease and success. The kids scissors are still in their package. I will let my toddler test those out since all of the others use adult scissors and can’t be bothered with the safety ones! Overall this is a solid little set. Definitely not complete for school since it doesn’t have crayons, erasers, or #2 pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga takes the top marks in that category). But I will stick to getting the school supplies in late August when they go on sale for dirt cheap at a certain big box store with a blue and yellow sign! I might have to spring for more of pencil sharpeners that came in this set though!!

Great back to school set for elementary school

Back to school is almost here and my youngest is just about to enter kindergarten. Came across this set and thought it would be great for him. Everything included is of great quality. He can't quite manage the sharpener on his own but I bet after a couple of weeks into the quarter he'll be a pro. The safety scissors are perfect and my sons excitedly proclaimed that they're just like the ones he uses in preschool. I think the only thing I would really add to the set, being geared towards elementary schoolers, is a pack of crayons as well and maybe a soft pencil case just to make it more convenient for parents, which I would definitely pay a bit more for. Overall great set and my son got really excited for the start of the school year when we opened it up.

Nice catchall set for the younger scholar; sharpener is a standout

This is a really cute set, if you don't already have the items in it. It's also a nice gift if you know a longer person who likes to draw and do crafts. The pencils and the magic markers are high quality for student-level items, ad you would expect from an established professional brand like Faber Castell. The real standout in this set turns out to be the pencil sharpener, which I promptly stole from my kid to use in my grown-up sketching kit. It's ergonomic, neat, versatile, self contained, and sharp as all get out. Hey, get the set for your kid, and they might not even notice if you steal the sharpener...

Great set of school/art supplies. Good quality products

This is a nice set of school/art supplies (we use them at home for drawing/art projects, but you can certainly take them to school.) The markers are double sided so there are 24 colors on 12 markers, for a great variety of colors. They are medium tip--not too thick, not too thin, good for drawing or writing. The colored pencils are slender, but triangle shaped, which is great for little hands to hold. The pencil sharpener and scissors are fine, as well. Overall, this is a nice little set. My almost 4 year old loves coloring with the markers in particular and I like that they are very washable.

cute kit for school or road trips

plenty for the kids to put into a shoulder bag and hit the road with. i got this to keep the kids entertained on our 6 hr road trip coming up. all you'll need to keep them entertained!
