This sharpener really sharpens pencils to a perfect point, easy to empty. I'm hoping it continues to work as well as it does now, since there's no way to sharpen a sharpener. My other pencil sharpeners lost their ability to sharpen within 2 or three months.

Awesome and Made in Germany!
Works perfectly. Be careful , it's a precision piece. You will easily over sharpen your pencil. Check frequently. The screw top lid is perfect and has tight tolerance. Place it level lightly without pressing and it will easily tighten otherwise it will not if pressure is applied. Five stars!

Totally worth the 5 bucks. Best sharpener I've tried and I use colored pencils often. So far it hasn't damaged my nice art pencils. It Sharpens nice and sharp and love the barrel that catches the waste - easy screw off to empty. Love this thing.

The picture is a little deceiving because it only comes with one. It works well though. I would just tell the seller to update it to look like it comes with one.

Stays closed so the pencil dust doesn't fall out!
I am a 4th grade teacher and this is the BEST mini sharpener I've ever used. I keep two in my classroom for students to use, and it is still going strong and working great into April. The top stays secure and doesn't pop open to spill the dust everywhere. I highly recommend for students and classroom use! I wish I could buy one for each of my kids to keep in their desk!

Sturdy
We are happy with these so far. We've had them 4 months & they're still going strong. We go through multiple pencil sharpeners each school year so we wanted to try something better. These seem to be able to stand up to being tossed around in a soft pencil case, in a backpack, 5 days a week

The Lead Still Breaks Sometimes
This product is inexpensive, but the lead doesn't get caught in the sharpener, which is good because that is a common issue I have with most sharpeners. I also like that you can detach the lid and dump the shavings out to prevent it from getting too full. However, I still have issues with the lead breaking, but it's probably just something I'm doing wrong on my end.

Meh
Clearly I didn't read very well - I was expecting 4, and probably wouldn't have purchased 1 for that price had I realized I was only getting one. However, my kids like these pencil sharpeners because they're easy for them to use - the cylinder is a good size for little hands to hold onto while twisting. Instances of : 'Mom, can you sharpen this for me? I broke it again' are down significantly.

Best sharpeners ever--buying more!
I have just ordered several more! I have 4 kids who go through pencils and pencils crayons like mad. We need to sharpen no less than 20 a day. Usually more. We have at least 8 different sharpeners and only one was pretty good, until I tried this one. Wow it is amazing. And easy enough for kids to use. Plus it screws closed so I hope that will mean less pencil shavings accidents all over the floor. We have other full metal sharpeners but they are not as good as this one. I even tried sharpening all the ones that usually give us issues with constant breaking off, and they worked! I was actually considering buying an electric one when I decided to give this one a try. I thought there were no good manual sharpeners! I didn't want an electric one though cuz this is better for kids to use for dexterity.

Don't go by product picture
First off don't go by the picture as its deceiving. The only reason why I ordered this product was I thought I was getting 4 pencil sharpeners as per the picture meanwhile you get 1 in navy blue. The product is alright, but I think I overpaid for it and would have been better off going into my local dollar store to get one. I feel cheated and its things like this that remind me the importance of reading reviews and fine print beforehand. Thankfully it was only a pencil sharpener I got cheated on and not anything else

Not at all as advertised
I do a lot of coloring with pencil crayons and so do a lot of pencil sharpening. I have always used an electric pencil sharpener and had very little problem with breakage using this method of sharpening. I decided that I would try a hand held pencil sharpener mainly so I had something I could use when I travel When I received this pencil sharpener I gave it a try and the first pencil crayon I sharpened broke, the second pencil I sharpened broke. I began to think maybe it was me not using the hand held sharpener properly so I tried a few more. The five pencils I sharpened next were all from the same set of pencils and out of five pencils four broke. This sharpener came highly rated, not sure why, but I will not be using it on my pencils anymore.

I'm an idiot
In my haste for scrambling to buy last minute items before my daughter starts school, I glanced at this after searching for this brand sharpener, saw 2 in the picture, saw the price, thought it meant multiple sharpeners were included. But, I'm a fool. You get ONE sharpener, for 10 BUCKS. I was ripped off, but my fault. Yes, the image is deceiving, but the description doesn't lie. I have 3 stars because it is a good sharpener, but waaay overpriced.
