Surprisingly utilitarian
When my kitchen suffered water damage and needed a complete makeover, including replacement of appliances, I started looking for alternate ways to bake without my oven. This was well rated, so I purchased it, not knowing whether it would simply make toast or actually be able to bake something like a cobbler. This does not have a "bake only" feature, it is a convection oven, but there is plenty of information to explain how to adjust either the length of time baked or temperature used. In my case I adjust the length of time used, and the results have been consistently thorough baking. I've not had any spills to know how well it clean, so that rating is based on the surface coating that seems like its made of a no stick substance. The temperature settings seem accurate, as is the timer - even though they are dials rather than digital inputs. For tabletop baking when a conventional oven is not available, this has proven its value in the few weeks I have used it. I have not used the cooking surface on top, as there has been no need, but I wouldn't hesitate if the need arose. Also, I use trivets to elevate this a bit from the surface upon which it sets, and would think that would be a prudent idea if it set atop laminate or some other synthetic countertop.

Love Love Love
I love this toaster oven. I’m very picky and a gadget freak! But this is so convenient. I’m trying to be as healthy as my temper will allow. One goal is to stop using microwaves. This allows me to warm up my food very simple. I use a small disposable pan on top and it work amazingly. The gadget to pull the racks in and out is awesome. Easy to put together. I just love it. I’m a foil and disposable pan user so clean up is a breeze! Best toaster oven without the stupid high cost.

Very affordable But returned
I liked that one could cook things on top while baking something in the oven, which is one reason I decided to purchase it. However, for me, it was not worth the effort. The shelving that came with that part of the oven, felt to awkward to handle for me. I found the oven heat to be an issue. So, it was probably not understanding fully how to operate the temperature. I tried to bake/cook all the foods I had done in my previous oven. It was unsatisfactory. Sometimes I would have the oven at 400 and while warming up something, it would be barely warm after 15 minutes. In my previous oven, it would be hot in 10 minutes on 350. The oven was loud when in operation, it got very hot on the outside, contrary to other reviews. In the end I felt it was not so efficient for my space and the oven shelve would fall off the track and that felt to clumsy for me. I decided to return. But for the price I can understand it is probably good enough for most needs. I found one that suits my needs in so many ways, a bit more expensive, but I threw the box away, because I knew it was going to work with my cooking style better.

Nice countertop oven
This countertop oven is very handy. It saves having to use a big oven many times because it's a good size. Perfect for a family of 2. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the rotisserie function is a little hard to use. It's a bit difficult to load when the oven is preheated. It does work though. There was quite a lot of grease splattered along the walls from roasting a whole chicken and the oven had to be completely cleaned. It does do a good job cooking various types of food.

Value Buy, Tentative Rating
After lots of research, I managed my risk by going cheap. Most 4 and 5 star ratings are given within the first weeks of use, so they don't tell the story right. In my experience, counter top ovens have a mean time between failure of 3-5 years when used daily like I do. You can get more years but not with daily use. The most common problem is the On/Off/Timer switch wears out or gets a short and just like that -- all is kaput. This my fourth one in 15 years. Reviews have consistently documented vexing quality issues over that period of time right through today. The expensive ones fare no better than this one so beware paying-up. It arrived yesterday in perfect condition. Note: Make sure to burn-off residue as indicated in instruction booklet. The process yields smoke for about 10 minutes. If you don't follow the instructions, you'll think it has an electrical short the first time you use it. Made toast this morning. Perfect. To be continued ...

Great buy I loveeeee it
I loveeeee it I use it for everything lol I would recommend it to everyone the price was great the only bad thing I have to say was the delivery I was home all day and the UPS never knocked on my door they said they attempted delivery and no they didn't I had to call to track my package and finally I had to pick it up at the post office ???????? but am very happy with my purchase thanks so much

this product works well so far
toast is almost too fast although the temp can be reduced slowing it down as wanted . The convection aspect is quite delightful in keeping foods juicy when cooked ,not dried out .

Garbage
It doesn't toast. The skewer doesn't stay in place. Will NEVER purchase a toaster oven on Amazon again. Piece of garbage!!!!
