I love this thing!

This sort of egg-steaming device was not at all on my radar, but after using my friend's, I quickly fell in love with it. The egg cooker is incredibly easy to use and clean, making it a convenient and hassle-free kitchen gadget to have. The omelet pan works great and is the perfect size to put on a bagel. I haven't tried the poaching tray yet, but based on my experience so far, I have a feeling the eggs will come out great when I do. I really like the size of this, it's big enough to do 7 eggs at a time, but compact enough that it's easy to store or tuck away on the counter. It might take a little practice to get the perfect level of doneness for hard-boiled eggs, it's easy to adjust with a few extra minutes under the cover. I love that I can set the cooker and let it go while I do other things, making it a great time saver. The egg cooker uses minimal water, making it an eco-friendly option, which is particularly important to me as a California resident where water conservation is always on our minds. Overall, I highly recommend the Elite Gourmet EGC-007B# Rapid Egg Cooker to anyone who frequently boils eggs. Quick, Easy, Great Results!!

I have been making great hard-boiled eggs in my Instant Pot, but I found that I was making too many and some were going to waste. So, I picked up this little egg maker, which makes 7 at one time. Honestly, I did not expect much, and thought I might lose the amazing peel-ability that the Instant Pot eggs had given me. I was wrong! This little egg cooker is absolutely easy to use, very automatic, add water, egg holder, cover, flip a switch and walk away. When done, it turns off and sounds an alert, you deal with your cooked eggs, and move on with your day. But best of all, they peel like a dream, just as the Instant Pot eggs always did. I am extremely pleased.

Nifty little appliance, but add more water if you live at high altitude!

We live at 8,500 feet in altitude, so my one issue with this appliance is that the levels on the measuring cup are irrelevant. Water boils at a lower temperature at our altitude so I need to add water almost to the hard-boiled line in order to get a poached egg that doesn't have the white running all over the place. I suspect to make hard boiled eggs, I would need to fill the level to twice the amount on the measuring cup. I haven't tried soft-boiled eggs yet, and I suspect it might simply be easier to do them as I have always done them -- in a pan of boiling water. The trial and error with the poached eggs was easy enough. Add more water and press the button again, but one can't do that with eggs in the shell!

Best hard boiled eggs ever!

I love eggs, but hard boiling them has always been a pain... until now! This little baby makes it easy and the eggs come out easier to peel than any other method I have used. The instructions are simple. Use the included measuring cup to put the water in. Use the included pin to poke a hole in each egg. Put the eggs in the tray. Plug it in. When it beeps, your eggs are done. I'll never boil eggs any other way again. Buy this! You will not be disappointed.

Great little item

I make hard boiled eggs several times a week. I had an old egg cooker and it was okay, but it was time to replace it. I love that you can also make omelets and poached eggs in this. And the protective cover for the sharp egg piercer (which is steel....thank you!) makes sure you are always protected. FYI, I bought this from Amazon Warehouse. I have purchased several items from them. Generally someone has not used it, returns it and the box is damaged. Why pay full price when you can purchase the same item for less money.

Love this egg cooker!!

This is an item you have to experiment with! I was a little concerned at first because I put the amount of suggested water in for hard boiled eggs and they came out a little over medium. This happened twice. So I came back to Amazon, pulled up this item and read the Q&A's. A lady said this happened to her and she said after it beeped, she turned off the cooker, left the eggs alone and left the lid on for 10-12 more minutes. Got them out, ice bathed, and peeled. Tried it....EGGS WERE PERFECT!! The omelet tray is great for an egg sandwich. I'm not a poached egg person so I can't tell much about that one! I do LOVE this product!!

Love this steamer

My toddler loves boiled egg and I wanted to teacher her how to make them without using a stove. This is perfect. She steams her eggs herself. Of course I monitor her bc this thing gets HOT. Love this little gadget

Ability to make omelets is a big hit with my family

We already had another brand hard-boil egg maker but got this unit because it could also make omelets. This has been a big hit with my big household. Be aware that the unit comes with one metal omelet plan. You can write the company and they will sell you another for around $11.95 (that includes shipping). I bought three more pans. Just like you can hard-boil two levels of eggs, you can make two omelets at a time. It works great! The omelet maker is easier than making them in a pan since you can mix up the ingredients and just walk away.

Works Great!

Only complaint: the text markings on the water measurer for boiled eggs and poached eggs rubs of easily. Before I noticed the level for soft boiled was rubbed off. I put see-through tape so I wouldn't lose any other level markings.
