Decent Litter Box Enclosure

I bought the jumbo sized, grey litter box enclosure (and I'm going to buy a second one), to fit the high sided litter boxes I have for my 12 and 13 lb cats. What I like is that it's plastic vs the pressboard enclosures, because the laminate on the pressboard dings and eventually pulls away from the wood, whereas the plastic is pretty durable. It's a good size for larger cats and large high sided litter boxes, and it has openings on both sides that lets light in and provides ventilation. It seems pretty sturdy. It's easy to put together, I did it in 45 minutes with the help of my cats. What I don't like is that there are a few scratches and blemishes in the plastic I was unable to get rid of by cleaning each piece prior to assembly, but they are not that noticeable - you'd have to be looking for scratches. And finally, the door opens down on a hinge at the base of the door, rather than on the side. This is awkward, but I may get used to it.

All 3 of my cats approve!

We bought the jumbo size. I had a little trouble putting this together, managed to puncture a tiny hole into the floor of this thing but not all the way through and not even a problem. Totally my error slamming the pieces together but it's not solid wood, fyi. I really like that the actual litter box is hidden, much less litter on the floor. I had a XL sized covered box before this, removed the lid, turned it sideways, and it fits perfectly inside this piece, almost like it was made for it! If you have very large cats that are used to a big box with sides to keep their bottoms from overhanging the box, consider using a box large enough to push against the back wall and 2 sides. Originally bought a smaller box to go in and my big mama kitty completely missed the box first try. My cats are huge, so for a smaller cat may not be an issue. Had this a few months and I'm very happy with my purchase. So much better than looking at a litter box, will probably get a smaller one in the future for another spot in my home.

Pretty good, but a few design flaws IMO

So, I had high hopes for this thing as I liked the fact that it's not made of wood, has windows on the sides to allow ventilation (my cats prefer an open box and litter was constantly getting everywhere), and is large enough for a very large litter box (I have 2 large male kitties). It's also pretty easy to assemble. However, I didn't realize that the door is only held in place by magnets and flimsy plastic dowel hinges. One of my cats likes go go flying out of the box after he goes, and the very first time he used it, he managed to knock the door down which scared him. I see that other reviewers have mentioned this and that at least one of them is using child proofing locks for cabinet doors to secure the door. I'm going to try that. The flip down front door also makes it difficult to reach/clean all the way to the back. It really would be better to access the inside from the side instead of the front, and a sliding panel would be very preferable to one that flips down. As it is, it's a struggle to reach all the way to the back without kneeling on top of the flipped down door which would break it pretty easily. I've only had it a short time, so can't comment on how it does with keeping urine off the floor. I put a rubber mat inside so we'll see what happens - as others have noted, it's not watertight. It does look like the walls are pretty easy to wipe down. And hopefully it'll keep a lot of the litter from getting on the floor. I'll update this review once I've had it longer, but these are my initial impressions.

The LitterLoo totally surprised me!

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about paying this much for a plastic product pulled together with plastic screws. I have never been SO happy to be wrong! I paid a little more for the color that compliments our interior colors but so be it! I assembled the box and so far so good! I've got one ancient kitty and one younger (10) who is quite girthy. She doesn't struggle to get in or out neither does the elderly cat. This has been quite a solid investment. not only does it work to keep the dogs out of the box but I also haven't noticed any post potty smells coming from the box. I was able to set it up with their food and water above on the shelf and it has been the PERFECT solution to our needs. If you're considering something else, don't hesitate! Buy this instead and be happy. I will say it is SUPER important to measure your litter box first! If I'd bought the standard size Loo I would have also been seeking out a smaller box. The jumbo was the right decision. I took another reviewer's advice and lined the interior with pee pads to reduce the litter mess.

Exceeds my expectations!

Much nicer than I expected! It is all made from an extruded plastic material, but doesn’t appear “cheap”. It is also MUCH bigger than I expected (my fault that I didn’t measure my space!) I only have one cat, but this could easily accommodate a multi cat family. Very easy to put together, no tools needed.. my only fear is the plastic screws won’t hold up if it is moved a lot. Would be nice to have metal ones. It appears to be easy to clean, and won’t absorb urine (I hope). My cat has become a litter kicker.. and I was having issues with her kicking it up over the side of her box that had an anti kick rim. I also got a high sided xl box to go with it and it fits with room to spare!! Only giving 4 stars because I feel the metal screws would have been better... otherwise I love it! I got the grey.. and it is a nice color and wood look.

Game changer!

This product is exactly what I was looking for to hide the ugly cat boxes. The large size, is intact large, which is great for our 3 cats. 2 catboxes fit inside - side by side. You definitely need 2 people to assemble it. It’s a little on the heavy side. I take it outside once a week to disinfect and hose down. It’s heavy duty plastic, but looks like wood. 10/10 recommend!

Cacher le bac de litière

Ça ne vaut pas le prix ! Mais dans mon cas je cherchais un p’tit meuble de ce genre mais assez gros ( deux chats , gros bac à litière) pour que le bac y entre et en laissant de l’espace à mes chats. Ainsi par le fait même protéger mon bureau de la poussière de litière! Le meuble est arrivée grafigné et avec des marques. Mais il est installé dans mon bureau. Mais si vous pensez mettre ce meuble ex dans un salon, avec de beau meubles et belles décorations.. oubliez ça ça sera laid ! Et encore une fois je le répète ça ne vaut pas le 180$ +tx payé! Max 100$ /120$ Mes chats n’ont pas de problèmes à si habituer, la grandeur et espace de l’intérieur est parfaite. De plus la dimension du petit carré qui sert de porte d’entrée n’y était inscrite nul pas sur la fiche du produit, comme mon matou est gros 18/20 lbs j’ai eu peur qu’il ne passerait pas! Mais oui il passe correcte :))

Nice looking but flimsy/loose fit

Delivery was great Setup was a challenge First order was missing a major component so we had to re-order a new one and return the 1st one. It is bigger than it looks Door doesn't stay on Whole thing is very loose and can't be moved easily for fear of it falling apart. The side vent frames randomly pop out Overall a nice looking overpriced unit.

Huge! Lots of room for the cat. I got the large one. You could probably fit a corner litter box in it. Decent color, a bit of a pain to assemble solo. An extra set of hands would be beneficial. Instructions say to turn it on its side for some parts. Don't. It's so much easier to assemble upright with the weight of the lid keeping the walls on when you put the corners on. Overall great! Let's hope Batman wants to use it. The price is okay, we needed it badly so it is what it is. It's light like IKEA but a little better quality. Some parts were a little scuffed, but it's like heavy duty plastic, plastic is gonna get scuffs so I don't care too much.

Good litter box house

The material is like some kind of plastic-cardboard hybrid. Not complaining, just caught off guard by this fact. Its a bit frustrating to assemble but very good afterwards. I got the bigger one and it holds a large litter box nicely. The cats adjusted to it well. Very easy to open and close the door to clean. I think its a bit expensive given the material of it but otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

Really nice!

I really like this enclosure. It doesn't look like 'plastic' at all. It's very nice and very easy to put together. I use a ScoopFree automated litter box system. It does fit in this enclosure but there isn't any room for anything other than the litter box.
