False description
I purchased this item because I am disabled el they said it was a elongated toilet seat when placing it on my toilet in the correct position it is approximately 3 inches too short not only is this a problem it is false advertisement now if I want to do anything I have to send it back and do everything I am totally disabled and they want me to do this just to get my money back they don't realize that some people with disabilities are on their own I am one so to send this back is a great seat that is not worth the money they ought to be ashamed of taking advantage of disabled people so many medical supply companies do this with false advertising if I could have rated this less than one star I would have I would never recommend you to buy anything from this manufacturer again

Comfort and security
My aged sister has dignity returned when using the bathroom even though she cannot stand without help. This product returns her dignity, adds security to her when she stands, and safeguards her from falls since she can so easily lift herself off the commode. We bought two and basically bought peace of mind for our loved one.

Easy to install, but........
You do have to tale seat off and i had to keep tightening the product. It would seem to slip off from time to time. i dont think i would recomend for the elderly.

Sure helps bad knees and is an almost perfect-design.
PROS: Fast Del., very comfortable, sits stable, fits elongated (& probably round toilets) and has 2/TWO cut-outs (front & back)! Cons: 5" would be better in height and the back cut-out needs to be wider and deeper. Hope the MFG. reads these comments!!

Like a queen on a throne :)
This is a great addition to a low toilet. I've been experiencing low back pain, so this is something that will, hopefully, help to not make matters worse. You just put the toilet seat up, place this seat down, and twist the plastic clamps provided to lock it in place. I have noticed that if you have to lean over to one side, you can feel it moving up slightly on the opposite side. I just make an effort to avoid doing that motion. You can still clean the toilet with the brush and cleaner, but it's just down deeper. It's makes it so much easier to pull yourself up from a low toilet, especially if you're tall, like me. I'd recommend this. UPDATE 3/19: I moved to a new apartment last spring. The bathroom is larger, and the toilet is situated in it's own designated (narrower) area. Not once have I had the sensation that the seat moved while leaning. Restricted space, feels safer and I'm happy!

Needs Better Clamps
Good Idea except the 1 plastic clamp I got broke while I twisted it to open ....(I only had 1 out of 2 orders 3 were missing) I called the customer service number over and over. No one answers. I called Amazon and they sent 2 more. Not very sturdy. Better Clamps needed. Easy to clean. I just spray wipe take it off and spray with water from shower hose. Clamps just don't hold up or are missing from box.

Good product; terrible quality control: arrived broken in perfect packaging twice in a row
I already bought the 4" version for my mother a few years ago. I now needed the 6" version for her. It eventually arrived in an Amazon box. Inside the Amazon box was a "Drive" company box containing yet a third snug fitting box. Inside this third box was the product. The boxes were all perfect and undamaged. The product looked just fine ..... until I turned it over. The body was completely cracked through in several places around the grub-screw fastener and cracked somewhere else along the bottom as well. There was no way this thing was going to survive one or two installations and removals for cleaning; the entire fastening arrangement would simply crack out of the product. Since it was non-returnable, I phoned Amazon and was wonderfully helped by a friendly Canadian gentleman who immediately shipped a replacement for free. It arrived on-time two days later in similarly undamaged triple-box packaging. I immediately checked the underside and it was perfect. Then I removed the two grub-screw units from their plastic wrapping and.... there we go again.... the one grub-screw segment had a whole section cracked out. I could replace the cracked grub-screw segment with the equivalent unit from the first (broken) product that had been sent. And so, based on two units sent to me, I could compile ONE serviceable unit. The point here is that the actual product is practical and workable... basically good. The quality control from the company Drive is frankly atrocious. There is no way the damage occurred during shipping. Amazon did a great job and were very helpful. But the company "Drive" really has to sort out their quality control. At this time the hard truth is that they are repeatedly shipping broken examples of a good product to Amazon. Somehow, I keep receiving the broken ones.

almost perfect.....
I hoped this would be the perfect seat for post-op total knee replacement temporary use. It is a work of art, made in Italy. Solid material and easy to install and sturdy. The problem with it is perhaps only related to myself in considerable pain after surgery, The seat is extremely hard material and thus uncomfortable to sit on.Also about an inch too high. My lower floor bathroom has a 5 inch seat Forsite Health with arms and is molded differently and comfortable as long as you are not too wide.

Inferior clamps to lock seat.
Should have had stainless steel clamps, the plastic ones do not hold secure (ratchet slips) Also had to fabricate sticky sandpaper pads to the porcelain as clamps slip off. Purchased this unit because I liked the idea of the quick clamp removal, must say I am disappointed with that decision. Worse yet, I am stuck with a product that is dangerous to the user when it was intended to be a "safety device"

Very impressed, top quality, made in Italy
Installed on American Standard raised, elongated, one piece toilet. No need to remove installed toilet seat. Fits on and off in seconds. Easy to clean, no open crevices, smooth solid bottom. Not for short people, 5' 4", feet will dangle on elevated toilets, test height at home first before buying. Tip, if seat is slipping, apply thin velcro strips to the bottom, or for more permanent installs, use doubleback carpet tape.

Too unstable
It has very unstable feeling once sat upon, it had to much sliding back and forth even though it was secured as tightly as possible . I would not recommend it.
