Not enough room
The product overall is great. Easy to install, stable once installed, easy to clean. The issue I have is that once seated, your legs are too close together for a man to be able to function properly. Even if your equipment is tucked under before sitting, it’s sort of puts a kink in the hose if you know what I mean. Either the arms need to be extended further out (which they cannot be) or removed which defeats the purpose of assisting after hip or in my case knee surgery.

A must after surgery
I was so thankful to have this after abdominal surgery. The handles were great for hovering when it was still to painful to sit. I have a small area where my toilet is and this worked perfectly. I believe it is pretty stable, however, my toilet is in a very small room and there is no room to lean in any direction. If you are buying this for an older person who might lean trying to reach something while on the toilet, I’d buy the old fashioned four legged steel frame for safety.

Up to 300 pounds and the handles aren't wide enough?
Apparently when this company put the arms on this raised toilet seat there wouldn't be enough room for a patient weighing even 250 pounds to fit between them. I weigh 180 lbs and those arms barely fit around my hips. So if this manufacturer is going to make something that allows 300 lbs then it need to consider the width of these arms too, at least 20". The manufacturer needs to correct this problem and send me arms that are at least 20" wide. To add insult to injury these handles are only 16" between them and the description says 17 1/4".

Too high, wobbly
This was used with an aging relative. We think she was having problems with her knees. This enabled her to feel more secure about siting and made standing easier. But, we did not like the fact that her feet were off the floor. And, we wished that there was a way to brace it so that it would not wobble. This ended up working better than rails alone. It served it purpose, but we felt it could be safer.

Dependable
This is my second one for another bathroom, so that I can be secure in knowing I'm safely covered in both areas. My first was from a knee-replacement 13 years ago & I found the need to use it again along with another situation. It takes a bit of retightening for a few days to get a really snug fit. Well worth it My feet are an inch off the floor but is no problem due to stepping off easily with the sturdy arms. Easy to clean with some wipes.

NOT FOR A PLUS SIZE PERSON!!!
It looked identical & same quality to one I bought 5 yrs ago frm ALDI! I love my ALDI too & it was a lil cheaper! Having surgery & despite an 18 inch toilet (20" is far better if ur tall! Must buy 20" online though!) I dont undrstd the stupid LOW-LOW Toilets everywhere, even Doctors office & Movie Theatre is RIDICULOUS as If everyone is 5 feet & its Extremely difficult to use & a true saftey liability & hazard if u hv a medical issue like Hip or Knee problms or disabilty & u MUST HAVE a riser if u dont hv an 18-20" Floor to Seat Toilet height or if ur 5'10 or taller!! IF UV HAD HIP Or KNEE Surgery its a personal requirement or u can damage what uv had repaired! She had hip surgery & the handles came attached BT hip width was "Too narrow" & I felt it put pressure on the hip area therefore, maybe on the replacemt. I had thrown the box away bcuz it looked as wide as one I just got rid of bt is not! I didnt think to measure anyway! On an assumption at the "wrong" time i found out othrwise!!! Smh, uv got to be Prepared! Luckily u can take the handles off & hopefully secure with the lock othrwise i would have had to return! If ur hippy wide or 16-18 size Pass on thz i did want the arm rails they prove to be beneficial hopefully this will be stable enough with using the Lock to hold it dwn since i had to remove the arms! Have EVERYTHG READY BEFORE SURGERY. The insurance will sell u an expensive kit bt u can find on AMAZON lil cheaper hv sent in most cases a day or 2 with PRIME MEMBERSHIP! I've come to LOVE AMAZON SERVICE!!! It has been great during pandemic for thgs u just DONT feel like going aisle to aisle, store to store to find! Its a trade-off bt proves to be a great addition to the meaning Customer "Service"!

Does not accommodate purpose well
My spouse had hip surgery and required some raised "seating" for the toilet. We had looked at feedback regarding items of this nature and thought that we made a good decision, but as it turns out, when buyers say it's too small, we now understand what they mean. When fitted over the actual toilet the raised seat opening is narrowed down to perhaps less than half of what the toilet itself provides. So - although you are sitting higher, which is much more comfortable after hip surgery, your by-product (don't want to get too descriptive here) has a very small opening to go through before reaching the actual toilet bowl. Quite unpleasant for the person who has to clean it. Spouse decided stop using the device and brave the stairs in the house and use the higher toilet upstairs instead. (I will not provide a photo! Just take our word.)

Good if your tall and slim
We used this item while my wife was recovering from a hip replacement. It locks onto the toilet very well and performs its function but we found that (i) it raises the toilet too much for us, (ii) the arms on either side are too close together, and (iii) the design is such that it requires constant cleaning. We have an older raised toilet seat that is a bit shallower, and a separate arm assembly that can be height and width adjusted, which we purchased when I was recovering from back surgery, and we found this arrangement to be much better.

Very narrow.
It installs easily but not suited to larger size people.

Great toilet seat
We purchased this toilet seat for my elderly father to use in our home when he visits. It is so easy to install and remove. Better then the one at his retirement residence. Highly recommend
