fine seat, but directions need work
This is my second one, which I bought after using the first one for more than two years. For more than a year now I've had no problem at all with the seat staying in place ...although I had lots of problems and tried lots of things during the first few months. The cause of my problems turned out to be the directions (rather than the seat itself). A drawing of what the seat looks like when correctly mounted would be _very useful. Once I finally figured out that the half-moon tab on the front of the seat should go in front of (_not _on _top _of) the toilet rim, and that the tab should then be slid toward the back until it's firmly against the rim, and held there while tightening the screws, things worked a lot better. Then when I finally tried _loose screws --tightened only until the seat stopped turning and then only a fraction of a turn more-- things worked quite well. The current model has been tweaked a little from the first one I had. The seat is less "shaped", which probably makes it sturdier, but can form an uncomfortably-angular seat when I'm off-center. The hinges for the lid are improved so they just give a little rather than break when I accidentally sit down hard too far back. And the ribs on the screwpads are now horizontal rather than vertical. Too bad about the penny-wise but pound-foolish decision to package a very good seat together with such misleading directions. (Also, reworking the directions would provide an opportunity to correct the weight capacity.)

Life changing
This is a life changer for me. Not super high but high enough to get up with bad hips and knees. Easy to install and remove for cleaning. It is a bit short on our oblong bowl so there is a little gap in the back but that isnt a big deal. Love that it has a lid.

Nice elevated toilet sit with lid
I am pleased with this product because it has a lid that opens & closes. Also, it’s not too ugly & It’s easy to install. I’m recovering from Achilles tendon surgery & I needed this.

Life saver after surgery
I had knee replacement recently and bought this riser to make getting off the toilet easier. I followed the measurement advice for how much of a riser I needed. It worked like a charm. I can’t imagine how hard this recovery would have been without it. Installation was quick and easy. Cleaning is easy with Lysol wipes.

Wrong directions!
My toilet seat came with directions: wrong directions!! Two screws came in a plastic bag. The directions simply said to turn the screws in counter-clockwise direction. For mine, that was wrong! I wasted lots of time trying to make the screws work, called the Drive company for help. The customer service rep had the same directions I had. Finally, I figured out the correct instructions. Insert the screws into the slots on each side of the seat and turn the screws in CLOCKWISE direction to engage with the seat. Tighten until the seat is held firmly in place. The seat is very good. Sturdy, easy to clean. Adds enough height so with injured back, I’m not trying to get up from a very low toilet. Sure wish the directions had been correct.

Perfect after hip surgery, but measure your toilet height before ordering the right one.
Needed a new hip, and this is So helpful. Didn't need the side rails as the location had support. DO measure your toilet height Before ordering these. They Don't tell you that, but If you have an over 15 year old one, it may be only 14 inches high to the top of the toilet bowl, without the seat. The 4 inch lift may be too high for your toilet. Sit down on the toilet and measure from the floor to the back of your knee. Then figure out if you need a 2 -3- or 4 inch lift. After many surgeries, it is difficult to bend at the hip, so picking the right height is critical.

UESELESS JUNK!
Instructions say to "tighten securely" for safety. Smooth plastic clamps DO NOT GRIP SECURELY. It continually POPS LOOSE and as a result, turns sideways when you sit on it. I cut the fingers from a pair of rubber gloves and slipped them over the clamp grips. That worked, but for how long? Great idea, lousy product.

Great price Great flexibility
This was great for me. I can take it off and throw in the shower for cleaning if need be and it actually stays on the toilet. No need to purchase a new raised toilet and go to all that expense. Dont be worried about purchasing it. It really works nice.

Great Seat
This is the best addition to my toilet. The apartment I rented had a toilet so low it felt like sitting on a bucket. Love that it has a seat cover. Very happy. Really helped when I had a knee replacement also.

Makes a Big Difference
This seat fit perfectly and was simple to install for this elder. It is quite comfortable and really helps my husband since he is so tall and has difficulty getting up , etc Recommend this seat.
