Super soft
Easy to attach and clean. Nice added height. Some persons have said it felt like it slipped around. Others say vinyl sticks to the skin. It is a good temporary product while waiting for a toilet seat riser.

Not functional
My mother in law who is 72 and been experiencing a lot of sciatica pain requested a "really thick cushion" for her toilet. She specifically did not want a padded toilet seat that fits to the bowl as the one she has does not provide much comfort. I figured we would try this one which looked rather thick in the photos. The good new is that it is in fact thick and does provide more cushion than the padded toilet seats. The bad news is that the pad is so thick and stiff and the opening too narrow that it is difficult to wipe while sitting! The cushions has velcro straps that fit snugly to your toilet seat and after my husband affixed correctly she had no problems with it sliding around or coming undone. The cushion was just too narrow to be functional. She tried it a few times but found that she had to stand to clean herself which was a little gross at times and a little unsafe for someone who is older and may not be so steady on their feet. Ultimately, it ended up in the trash. Like I said, the cushion is thick and I found the price reasonable compared to a few other cushions I researched so I will give 2 stars but I think a massive overhaul of the shape and materials is needed. As is, it is not functional.

Great product needs a little work
My mother has been in bed for months but still using the portable toilet because she is on bed rest there are horrible bed sores. She still gets on the porta potty for bowel movements and that seat was causing huge sores and very bad bleeding. She is on blood thinners which can be a dangerous situation for her. Since buying this the sores are cut in half and she is in a lot less pain when using the toilet. However the design is a little compromised as the straps get in the way of the bowel movement the are located in the wrong place other than that I really like that it's helped my mom be more comfortable

Limited usefulness
We purchased this for our elderly father who has a sore hip. The thickness is adequate and provides comfort. The straps that attach the pad, however, leave something to be desired. I know it is difficult to affix something to a hard surface such as a toilet seat, but the bands loosen, shift, and do not stay in place. They do not pose a danger but it is too much for a really elderly person to manage. My dad used it one week.

Hit and Miss
Pros - does raise height of toilet seat, straps actually do keep it in place well cons - seat doesn't shut so you would have to stay sitting while you flush unless you want H2O particles in the air, I have cats that aren't declawed. While they can't reach water to drink (which is a good thing), their claws will puncture the seat ruining it

I've had one for several months, and it's held up well. The softness is a real comfort boon compared to regular toilet seats, and the extra 2 inches helps noticeably getting off the toilet. I have not noticed the soiling issue others have mentioned, but I did cut off the Velcro straps as they got urine on them. No straps results in the seat sticking to you if you are on the toilet long enough, but it does not happen often and you can just pull it off. The Big Problem with it is although there is a space in the front for cleaning your front, there is no space in the back. One already has less room even in the front than with a normal hard seat because of the softness compression. This makes cleaning oneself difficult. You have to bend around, hard to do some some people, and then finish cleaning once you get up. If they made them in two pieces and taller so the compression would be less of a problem, this would help. The straps would have to remain attached, I think. Update: I bought a second one and unlike the first one, which looked okay, the second one was badly made. One side was wider than the other.

Pain in the derriere.
Tried to use for a partial paraplegic with incontinence. Big disaster. The actual opening is way too small unless you are a very small person with great aim. Very hard to clean yourself with this. Nice and cushiony though.

Terribly uncomfortable
When added to the top of a commode, this was terribly uncomfortable. It felt like I was rocking on the seat and was going to fall off.
