Turns out I didn't need it. Wonderful product. Iron can lay flat and stay hot. Keeps it from falling over when fabric is moved for more ironing. Claims to have the versatility of being used as trivet. Didn't try that. Didn't need the iron rest. Very cool product.

Very Well Made
I sew all the time and needed something to be able to set my iron down at times when I didn't want to make sure it would just fall off my board or if I just wanted to make sure my little ones didn't come in and touch it. This wonderful Dritz Iron Rest is absolutely sturdy, thick silicone and I can see it lasting me for decades to come.

Awesome iron holder
Far superior to the old fashioned metal iron holders. Grips the iron well when iron is stood on its foot. Absorbs heat really well. A great product and am so glad I chose this one.

Works well
So far, so good. I like that I can leave my iron in a down position while I'm ironing. I also use it when I've turned my iron off so my cats have a harder time knocking it off the ironing board.

My iron falls over while standing up on the ironing board and this pad is great to just sit the iron on hot side down..But if you got steam set on your iron it will spray water on the pad if it sits there for a while.

What a great idea.
This little mat keeps my wrist from getting too sore from twisting the iron up and down all the time. By the end of a long batch of ironing my wrists used to hurt quite a bit. This little mat has helped this problem quite a bit. What a great idea.

Purchased this to use at my quilting club. It works really well a preventing scorch or burns on the table where it sits BUT the rest allows a GREAT deal of HEAT to go through and settle into the table. Am afraid that if it sits for an extended period of time, it could cause damage to the item it is setting on. BE VERY CAREFUL where you set it.

WORKS GREAT HIGHLY REQUIRED
The Iron Rest Pad was noticed by browsing recommendations. Never seen anything like this before and always wanted some kind of iron protector rest. It was a super low add on price so ordered. It is very simple and exactly as described and reviewed. It is weighty, soft , pliable and retains shape. It works great for resting iron on iron board and for cooling storage. Both without having iron standing subject to falling. The silicone material does get very hot, but did not burn or discolor. The pad has two holes in the end for securing the plastic tie and label. The label was removed but tie was kept and works best for hanging the item from my over the door iron holder after use. A highly required and recommended item.
