I don't have much experience drilling through tile, but I needed to drill 10 largish holes in subway tile. This bit did the trick fairly easily, and still has lots of life left in it. FWIW, as I was running the drill (medium speed) every 15-20 seconds or so I stopped and dipped the tip into water (to keep it cool).

Don't bother with this bit, it doesn't start nicely, only really chews when it's 1/4 in the cut. I am drilling stones and only got 5 holes before it quit cutting. I normally use the Bosch GT700, and from now on that is only what I will use. With only 2 blades they don't hold the heat like this one does. Maybe if you drill tile and need a super clean hole it would work for you, but not strong enough for stones. Certainly not worth the price for me. :-(

Total waste of time and money. I found cheaper diamond bit products, which cut tiles with less effort.

Well worth the money in my opinion
This one bit I have used on several projects and made the job very easy. Just start it slow and drill slow (package even says 200 rpm max) and get fantastic results. The flutes on mine are still sharp even after a bunch of holes in all kinds of stuff. Highly recommend.
