I am using to drill through a 22" board. shank is same size as head, so no place for wood shavings to go. have to take bit out every 1/2 inch or so to get the shavings out. very slow going. I would recommend a bit where the end is slightly bigger than the shank to drill through thick wood. Got about 10 inches into board and bit came out of the bottom. I'm pretty sure I hit a nail and changed the angle.

24 inch drill bit.

I was surprised I could find an item like this. I used it to alighn 24" of bored holes in a hidden hook coat hanger. It would bind and get hot at first. I coated with some Simonize paste wax. Then it bored quite easily. Darsey Murphy

Drill bit bent on its first use on PLA. It broke on plastic.

High carbon steel, what a joke. I used it on PLA; which is plastic. The tip of drill bit bent almost immediately. I had the item out of the box for all of 15 minutes before it was completely worthless. I can not stress enough, DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

Suprised...

I have bought these before. 3 of these broke within the first half hour. We switched back to an old bit and was fine for the rest of the day. Is it possible to get a bad lot?
