It was fun….

This was absolutely beautiful as I was doing it! Completely gorgeous!! Then…..I did the outline. I am disappointed with the finished product. Not because of the pattern but because of the color of the outline.

Can't beat Dimensions Gold kits!

I'm never unhappy with the Dimension Gold Collection counted cross stitch kits. In fact, it was a Gold kit ("Stately Palm") which first introduced me to the craft over twelve years ago. I've read some reviews of the Gold Collection kits which warn these are not for beginners. I disagree! When I picked up my first Dimensions Gold kit, I found the directions to be CLEAR and easy to follow. As is true with all of their kits, "European Bistro" is clearly charted and in color to help the stitcher follow the chart. I usually start by making myself a "working copy" of section of the chart so I can freely highlight each line as I work through the stitching. It might also help to enlarge the chart a little bit if you make a copy to stitch from, but it certainly isn't a requirement. The other HUGE benefit to the more recent Dimensions Brand kits is the PRE-SORTED floss. This is a huge time saver! I'm accustomed to keeping my flosses in "Floss Away" baggies to help keep myself organized and prevent losing or wasting any unused pieces of floss. I have never run out of flosses while working on a Dimensions Gold kit, but I believe the company will send you extras of any fibers you might run out of while stitching. I give this kit an A+ for design, use of color and clearly written directions/charting. If you're new to cross stitch there is no reason not to "exclude" yourself from trying this or any of Dimensions' projects. If you love the design, I think you'll be motivated to stitch more often and finish your project. Give this craft a try! There are lots of videos online and plenty of stitching groups to explore on Facebook. Have fun!

Should have been called a half stitch chart

So much is half stitch and not cross stitch. I guess if you like that, it is ok. It does make it easy and quick to work up. The threads are also not dmc and seem to fray quickly.

Well-designed kit with lots of color and details.

Kit arrived early. It has lots of detail and uses color to create definition. This is a counted cross stitch kit which means that there is no printing on the Aida cloth, which I prefer (that way if I make a mistake and like what I see, I leave it, which makes it unique). Chart is Easy-to-follow and the directions are well-written. The floss is pre-sorted and well-labeled. What a beautiful, well-designed kit.

Beautiful but short on thread

This a beautiful piece when done and I can’t wait to get it framed. HOWEVER unlike most demensions kits there was not enough thread. I had to order a second kit to finish: it was VERY short. I tried to contact the company but was unable to do so. So keep that in mind before ordering. I’d do again myself.

Gorgeous Cross-Stitch Project!

Absolutely beautiful kit with a variety of bright, gorgeous colors! I would highly recommend this kit and all other Dimensions counted cross-stitch kits...They come with presorted threads and are packaged with a strong plastic shield. I would probably recommend this kit to all levels of stitchers; I think everyone would find this a fun and very enjoyable stitching project; Dimensions is always of high quality and never disappoints!

Every thing was in the package tha5 was listed

Two things could be improved . The pattern could do to be printed darker . The directions lines needed to be darker . Haven’t completed it but will frame it and hang it up .

Brilliant find

Excellent product/quality very vibrant colours had been searching for this product for some time arriving reasonably quickly. Had not realised was 18 count as I personally prefer 14 but should make an even finer detailed picture.
