Good quality

These are good quality and there are so many! They’ll last me a while! So far, I haven’t had any that seem cheaply made or any that are stuck together like many of the containers you can purchase.

No Good

I was so excited to use these Bobby pins because they recommended it to me but sadly I had a bad experience. Everytime I tried to open one ended breaking ???? it was not all of them but most of them. It could be I got a bad box.

Diane vs Dollar Tree!

I recently moved across the country (to the PNW) and have felt so amazing that I'm doing more to my appearance and learning hair styles. I started with a handful of items from Dollar Tree but after a few weeks, I had to keep replacing the pins. I decided to look into Amazon in hopes to get something in bulk that may save me a few dollars and came across this product. This review will be compared to the Dollar Tree "Salon Quality" which are bronze in the photo! And Diane which are the black pins in the photo. Dollar Tree pins are very thin and bend out of shape on the first - second use. I always have to cross them a few times to ensure it'll hold for a few hours at a time but my thin hair seems to constantly slip out or push the pins out of place. The Diane pins appear thicker, and are more crimped at the end. These pins have stayed in place strongly for 6 hours and are still in place. For the price I paid, I'm impressed. These are more luxurious than what I've been getting used to and I won't go back! These are made in China, I added a photo of the back incase anyone is curious about additional info. Highly recommend if you're considering this product! I don't know what "salon quality" feels like but these truly feel great and stay in place. I also intentionally stretched one out and it was tough. These aren't as flimsy as Dollar Tree.

Perfect for fine slippery hair

I have super fine hair that is somehow curly and straight but too smooth for most barrettes/ hair ties to stay in place. I change my hair style often, Shoulder blade length to pixie and everything in between so betwen frequent use and the fact that somehow I have the unruly hair of a toddler, I go through a lot of pins. I bought these because they were cheap, same price for a pound as it is for a pack of 50-75 Conair or Scunchi brand, and I figured, they always stretch out or get lost so having a ton around is a good idea. These things ROCK. I read some of the reviews that say they bend out of shape or have un-tipped ends. I haven't noticed that problem AT ALL. I have little containers I keep filled with pins various places throughout my life because, as I said I'm always losing them. While i was filling my containers I didn't notice any tips missing. I was playing with them and they are strong and springy, stronger than some cotter pins I've worked with, and they snapped back into shape and hold even my slippery hair super secure. My box did not look like the ones in the picture, it was pink and white, so maybe I got a different batch than everyone else, but the pins are top notch. Will buy again if I ever run out.

Not the same pins?

I just purchased my 3rd box of Diane bobby pins and these pins aren't the same as the other Diane pins I've bought in the past. They ARE heavy duty, but they don't hold my thick hair *at all*. I used to be able to use one pin and it'd keep my hair in place all day, but with this latest box I'm having to use three pins to do the same. I think I'm going to try a different brand.

Doesn't hold my hair in place.

When they first arrived they seemed great - a lot more pins than I expected for such a great price! But I quickly noticed that the quality wasn't the best. Some pins have the little bumps at the end but some don't, and the ones that don't scrape my scalp. They also bend very easily and don't hold up my hair very long. I have thick hair though, but the normal bobby pins I get at the dollar store do a good job at keeping it up as long as I have two criss crossing. But these ones, even with 4 criss crossing, they would slide out so easily. I will not be purchasing them again. It may be good if you have thinner hair.

Recommending as an excellent value of quality bobby pins. Convenient jumbo box to last forever.

My wiry hair seems to eat bobby pins, and often also spits them out. To make it worse, my cats also love these things, and love to run off with them and knock them down into the air registers. These are great quality for bobby pins - I bought the bronze ones (less noticable in my red hair) and these hold up pretty well without bending, and the coating on them is even so they havent pulled on my hair. EXCELLENT value for a big box of bobby pins. No more wasted money on little packets or sheets of Goody pins. There must be over a thousand bobby pins in this box, it will be a lonnnnggg time before I need to think about buying more again. Will be recommending to all of my other girlfriends, and I imagine this would also be great for a professional stylist.

Great for anything that needs to be clipped

I love having this box in the house. I use bobby pins on my toothpaste tube to keep it flat, I use them on my food bags to close them, I use them as impromptu clasps to hold things together... really, there's a million things you can do with a box of bobby pins. You can also do hair things, but I bought these to be practical around my house.

Holds Well

Bought these because I was tired of always loosing them and not having many in the packages. These are great. I haven't lost any of these. Recommended.

These are pretty decent bobby pins - they hold hair in place as they should. That being said, they're not my favourite one's (which are Sally Beauty supply brand). They aren't quite as durable as that brand but they do the trick! I'm glad I've got so many because bobby pins always play a Houdini trick on me.
