Fake cake
Used this to make a fake cake and it was perfect. Took about a day to fully dry. This is pretty small though like the size of my hand. Luckly it was enough for the whole cake.

Great stuff
As a painter I have used this product after scraping loose paint and then apply it to feather the edge on wood siding. Before applying I prime the areas first and then apply one or two skim coats of this then reprime before applying the finish coat. Used for over 20 years and have zero problems. Love it

Great for fake cakes! Looks like real frosting.
I used this to "ice" and pipe designs onto my fake cakes. It is super smooth and looks just like real frosting. The color is a perfect bright white that can be used by itself or with paint added to it to make various colors. It is best to wash your tools right away after using this because it dries fairly quickly (about 20-30 minutes) For very thick pipings, it takes about 1 day to dry to the touch, but about a week to dry underneath. Even when it's dry underneath, if you press on it you can feel it is a bit flexible and not rock-hard. However, pressing on it won't mess up the frosting (unless you press super hard on it). Definitely handle your fake cake mindfully even after it is dry. I've found that thinner pipings of this will dry harder than super thick pipings. Hopefully some matte spray varnish will help make it more durable.

Takes A Little Practice
This is a very strange substance that can work well in a variety of cosmetic repair applications, but it may take a bit of practice. It's not a creamy putty sort of thing. It's almost like a cross between frosting and very finely ground polystyrene foam, or something. It's quite dry, extremely lightweight, and a little finicky. It will stick well to an overhead repair, but also to the knife. A wet blade will often get you better results. In fact, adding a SMALL amount of water to this stuff will change its character considerably, which gives you a range of options. You can smooth the nearly-dry product with a damp sponge, but if you go at it too soon you'll peel it off onto the sponge. Doesn't shrink much -- I've successfully filled an inch-deep repair in a single application, but successive gradual fills are easier to manage. Sands easily once it's dry, if you need to touch it up. But if it's not completely dry, you may leave gouges in it and have to re-coat once again. Takes paint well once it's dry. The ease of changing this stuff's fill characteristics by adding water (or not) are my favorite thing about it. If you don't have luck with it, experiment with the leftovers and see if you can learn to work it. It's more versatile than you may think. I also like that if you drop a glob of it, it doesn't splatter. Clean-up is easy.

lovely smooth finish
works brilliantly on plasterboard holes, i can now get a smooth finish ready for painting, it was impossible to get a smooth finish with the other stuff (normal filler) , the spackle is expensive but worth it if you want a lovely finish, if you don't care then just use cheap filler.
