Excellent product, not so excellent packaging.

Happy with the way it works. But it comes in a shallow tub that would be fine if you were going to use all of it immediately upon opening, but not so good if you want to use a little at a time over a long period, e.g., to patch a lot of small holes and dings here-and-there in you house. In the tub it separates into a too-watery part and a too-stiff part, so the instructions tell you to stir it before using, and you should. That characteristic would probably make hard for 3M to supply it in a squeeze tube, which is what would really be convenient for the use pattern that I bought it for.

Not the one I normally use

But for the amount I needed, very little and the reviews, I decided to give it a try. It's okay and does it's job, it's just I like the stuff I normally use a bit better.

My favorite putty.

Easy to use, sands well, builds on itself. Can't speak to the ability to paint over it or drill into it later as I use this for patching holes when our lease runs up on a home. But it is great for excellent use.

I've tried 2 other products since I got my home and each time had a really bad time. I just got this and it was so easy, filled and covered the holes in one go, perfect consistency, easy to smooth out, just an all around perfect product.

I love this product!

I bought this to fill all the holes in my apartment's drywall before putting on a new coat of paint. This product is super easy to use, super easy to clean up if you make a mistake, and as promised you really can do it with one coat -though I recommend two. I highly recommend and will continue to use this 3M product in the future. By the way one tub can go along way and be sure you stir and mix before use as indicated by the instructions.

There is a color difference, more like a light gray, and it is not smooth, but it can be used to fill small scratches
