Seems to be a well made product
So far so good. It's just like the pump which we had. The old one ran for many years.

Very good but beware of pine needles ...
I've had 2 seasons on this pump. Build and running qualities are good. It's pumping up 20 feet with adequate volume and reasonable electric power use. My pond gets lots of pine needles which pass easily through the holes of the plastic housing and the filter bag around the pump (and a sump filter in front of all that). The impeller of this pump has tight channels to develop the pressure to get up 20 feet - those channels also clog easily with pine needles; sometimes overnight. Cleaning that out takes a pump teardown and lots of teasing needles out of impeller channels. For now, I've improvised a prefilter using plastic mesh and clean it every week. At pump replacement time, I think I'll be looking for a pump with good solids-handling capability - but I have no reason to think this pump will stop any time soon.

Spec-sheet
Since this pump has not arrived I will just put the spec-sheet in the review and update after six months on the pumps performance. One feature not pointed out is the pump rotor is replaceable, according to the PDF file I downloaded. 316 Stainless Steel Rotor No seals, no oil Reliable Ceramic Bearings 1" FPT Intake 1" MPT Discharge 20ft Grounded Power Cord 120V/60hZ 2.2 Amps/270 Watts Max consumption 2700 GPH @ 0' 26.5ft Max Head Lift UL listed for consumer confidence Approximate dimensions in the shell: 6-3/4" x 7" x 15" Approximate dimensions of the pump motor out of the shell: 6" x 6" x 9" Recommended tubing size for maximum flow: 1-1/4" ID to 1-1/2" ID September 12th, 2013: OK, pump came in some time ago and indeed, the discharge is a 1" MPT fitting. Picked up everything I needed at Home Depot: fittings: 90°, straight couplings and such, one check valve and adapter from check valve to 2" waterfall hose...total was under $30. The pump is a champ and because the case allows flow 360° around the pump, cleaning has been reduced to water vacuuming around the pump closure and inside the skimmer. Of course I still have to remove the pre-filters for cleaning. The pump is very quite, if I didn't see the waterfall I wouldn't know it was on. Oh, I didn't pay big for the water vacuum, those who want to find a cheap alternative, contact me and I'll send you pic's and info how you can make your own. Electrocution concerns: the pump is all plastic, double insulated with ground, EZ cleaning to boot.

great pump but maybe not best for small duck pond
well, as advertised this pump does draw a low amount of energy which was my biggest concern next to performance. it moves a ton of water powerfully when the filter is clean but after two weeks the flow is reduced greatly, from a blasting fountain to a gurgling flow. it still moves water and keeps my pond clear at that flow. but the idea of maintaining a filter every month was bad enough, but every two weeks? if you have a mucky pond and energy consumption isn't a great concern a submersible pump may be better. still, aside from the maintenance i'm happy with the quality of this pump after 3 months of use. one other caveat. manufacturers web set lists this model with a 3 year warranty, but the box that arrived advertises a 2 year warranty. Hmmm?

Reliable pump
I have used this pump in my catfish pond for almost a decade now. It's been very reliable and pumps a stream of water about ten feet into the air. It's enough to aerate my 1/4 15 foot deep pond.

Long lasting pond pump.
Bought this same pump in 2018, which lasted through 5 seasons. Most pumps running 24/7 eight months a year generally only last 3 seasons. Purchased again due to the longevity.

Defective product. No satisfaction from manufacturer.
I purchased this pump in early April to replace the identical pump that I owned for 9 years prior. Needless to say I had been very satisfied with the pump that I was replacing. Around Memorial Day the new pump simply stopped after less than 2 months operation I cleaned the pump including impeller ( a task I had performed many times with the old pump) but it simply would not work. Per instructions from danner mfg. I sent the defective pump to danner in early June. Three emails have been sent to danner but I have not received a replacement or repaired pump yet. Addendum: I received an email from customer service stating several employees have returned from furlough became of covid and are overwhelmed. Assurance, but no estimate of time of return.

Great waterfall pump for a high head. Quiet and low maintenance.
This is the second waterfall pump that I bought. The first one I bought about seven years ago and it is still working extremely well. I have only had to clean it out one time, which was this year, even though I have a rather mucky pond and stream. Cleaning it was a breeze since all I had to do was spray it with a hose. I do protect it with a sock though and I am sure that helps. This pump is quiet and powerful. I use it in a pond to pump up to another pond up a twenty foot embankment. The water then runs down two streams through another pond. This is a great buy!
