Right size, very poor magnets
The magnets are really weak ! Do not waste your $ with this crap from China !

You get what you pay for, light duty only.
I am a believer in buy quality buy once but these were the only 3 1/2" vise jaws I could find so I think this review is fair under the circumstances.

Magnets are Weak
The magnets are tiny and weak. Giant "Made in China" lettering on both pads. They absolutely need to be stronger. I have much smaller vise pads than this with magnets twice the size and easily ten times the strength. I wouldn't buy again and I wouldn't recommend them as a result.

Junk
Magnets and super weak and rubber started peeling off during the first use. Aluminum is sharp and will mar the finish of things that you bought it to protect.

The price equals the quality and performance-you decide if it's for your needs!
These jaw inserts are exactly what you pay for, a moderately priced pair of jaw inserts that perform moderately. If you have a tough piece you need to secure in a vise then buy a tough pair of jaw inserts not a $13 pair of inserts. Most often in the tool world if you want quality you have to pay for it and be aware that you are not going to get $40 performance from a $13 pair of jaw inserts. They are what they are and if they are not tough enough for your job then don't buy them, spend the extra money and get what you need. For my needs of holding precision components still while I inspect and polish them to specification without marring them these work great. I use them daily and they have held up just fine. Perfect for me but certainly not for every ones needs. You decide but choose your tools wisely and not by price so much and you won't be disappointed like so many other reviewers for this product.

Met expectations
Needed these to protect certain projects from being damaged by the jaw "teeth" on my vice. My vice has 4 3/4" jaws, which means these extend beyond the ends but that also allows me to shift them side to side as needed. Have used the homemade wooden ones and using tape, but these magnetic jaw protectors are great. When I need the protection I just slip them on and the magnets hold them in place and they are removed just as easily when you need the "teeth" of the jaws for extra hold. And with the magnets they attach to the top of my tool chest where they are readily available. The rubber facing seems to hold things fast in applications like light sanding, drilling or when you need to work on something and you don't want to mar the visible finish. Haven't tried to really crank down on them, they may slip if you need to forcibly remove a frozen lock nut from a slippery finished piece of pipe.

Excellent
I'm not much of a handy man. But I do the occasional work around the house and other projects. I sort of bought these vise jaws on a whim. Now they are pretty much permanently attached to my vise. I can't think of much that they wouldn't work on. You can apply a lot of pressure without damaging whatever it is you are trying to hold. It leaves no marks and the rubber sticks better to most materials like plastic and metal. Even wood stays on pretty firm and you don't get that grip pattern from the metal jaws. Only negative is that the magnets really don't do a good job of holding these jaws onto the vise. But it's not that big of a deal. I would recommend these, I think that once you have them, you'll wonder how you got by before. I remember the days of wrapping a cloth or something else soft around the item you are working with, hoping you don't damage it. This is way better! I'll add some pictures if someone wants a better idea of what they look like. Note on the pictures that the magnets are not as big as the manufacturers images show.

Chinese junk
Magnets aren’t very strong and the rubbers fell off after a couple of uses so I had to re do the glue with some good glue that they should have used from the start

Decent Product at a good price
This things are pretty good. They would get a 5 star rating if they had another magnet (the 2 it comes with aren't as strong as I would like) and if they came in a 6" length. I'm running the 5.5" units on my 6" vice and that bugs me. Otherwise, I like the design and the fit/finish.

Magnet are weak
The jaws are decent enough quality for the price but the magnets are so weak that do very little to hold them to the vise which makes adjusting the work piece in the vise a challenge.

Softies
These work pretty good. Great of clamping things you don't want to get damaged by steel vise clamps (paint jobs, wood). Magnets are good. The aluminium it's made from is pretty soft though. Damaged them already tightening a thin rod past the rubber compression limit. It mad an impression in the aluminum.
