Very heavy duty. Ad photo shows a tube shaft, but mine uses bar.

Bar stock, knurled. Photo shows a round tube shaft. Bar stock locks in better. Very heavy duty tool. I wanted the longer reach, as my others won't. Some work pieces, I need the longer reach. After oiling, slipping the included pad on, it's ready to work. Much beefier than expected, which is nice.

Very sturdy and Heavy duty

These are definitely much heavier and sturdier than I expected. Nothing flimsy about them. My only concern is that there is no lock mechanism. As you tighten the clamp the pressure twists the head and locks the clamp into the teeth. My only concern is how durable will these be as the teeth wear and get glue inn them, etc. Time will tell. I bought them to clamp in wooden inlays in wooden boards so they should work perfectly for my purpose. Very happy with the purchase.

Inexpensive but inconsistent manufacturing

These are exactly what I was looking for in deep reach clamps. I was close to pulling the trigger on a pair of Bessey TG clamps that were about $35each. At the time of this review (January 2021) these Shopfox ones are $14.30 so I got two for less than the price of one Bessey. I had to return one of these clamps because the movable head was twisted and the handle was not on straight. The replacement was fine but it was made slightly differently than the first even though the part number was identical. The replacement one had a thicker screw head and the screw was about 1/2in shorter. The paint was slightly nicked on all the clamps but these are a tool so, regardless of the brand, they won't look new for long.

Huge throat depth

I got these for a project I was working on where I needed a deep throat to be able to clamp some parts together. I have to say I'm a little disappointed in these clamps, the sliding end is held in place basically by friction and they kept coming loose and popping off my work piece, I don't know if I had too much tension on them or not enough but I couldn't find a happy medium.

Heavy and sturdy- great value

I'm a subscriber to the "you can't have too many clamps" school of woodworking thought but try to discipline myself to adding new ones that can do something the rest of my stock can't so when I need a deeper throat clamp and these came up I grabbed two. Make no mistake, these are big and heavy. They have a beefy wood (yay!) handle that's easy to grip. They don't have the lever present on lots of other clamps so the jaw engages the shaft as it angles from positioning and then tightening the clamp. I was a little concerned about how well that would work but it's fine and actually makes positioning easier. Overall these are a great addition to a clamp arsenal. Highly recommended.

Good clamp

Very solid clamp. A bit lighter than Bessey F clamps, which I find to be a plus and the price is a great value. My only complaint are the clamp pads. Cheap, flimsy and immediately fall off. Glue them or you will spend more time looking for pads on your shop floor than clamping. Still, considering the price difference and overall value, a minor complaint.

Very sturdy and strong

They weigh quite a bit, I wish my arms were stronger to work with overhead on the floor joist but once they were snug there’s no way they were coming off I could probably even hang from them.

Great clamp for wood and walls and steel..Versatile and strong.

Shop fox provides a great value for a decent product. Nothing wrong with them i can see. 4 stars only because i do like the F- clamp types better (5 stars) ,but they are more money too. I use these a lot, not just for typical clamping of wood, but i also use them for some auto repair apps and general carpentry like holding jigs etc to saw horses. I've even used them to help camp walls of small outbuildings together while truing up surfaces. They've never lost their grip on me. I should say sometimes i prefer these over F clamp style depending on application. Heck i'll give it five stars. Changed my mind when i thought about it. Every shop should have some of these.

Sturdy and Strong

Very strong and heavy duty. The price is also very good. The long jaws are very useful for many situations where you need jaws that could reach to hold the work piece

It has a very strong construction but the pinion track usually get locked and the rubber pad on the clamp's jaw constantly get fall.
