Definitely worth the money

I chose this half-moon leather cutter because I felt I could do more with it than a typical roll knife which I got in a leatherworking kit. It came super sharp and cut through leather i had like a dream. I enjoy the versatility of the blade itself as it allows for precision cuts and getting into rather tight corners, for the size of blade that it is. It also skivved very well for what I had to do with it.

Best yet

Comes amazingly sharp out of the box. Just hone couple swipes before using to keep it that way. Round knife not head knife. Cuts very thick leather like hot knife through warm butter. Worth the extra money no questions asked. If they had smaller head knife would buy it as well. Be very careful touching edge to see if it sharp when you take it out of box as might slice finger.

Good thin and sharp blade

The handle is really cheap. I covered mine with leather. The blade is good though and very sharp. I'm getting better with it and like it.

Nice and sharp

Knife was nice and sharp. Worked good for a few weeks of use while I was making a saddle then the rivet that holds the two wood handles broke at the bottom and the rest of the knife just swivels. It needs more than two rivets. Thankfully they have lifetime warranty on it so I sent it to weaver and they replaced it. Makes it worth it! Thanks.

great knife - I had to glue handle$

I upgraded this from an upset first impression I had. After using it I’m very happy with the knife. Here’s my honest opinion This knife will seriously step up your leather game. You MUST have respect for it, because it’ll get ya if you get In front of it. I just wish a little more love went into the handle. I had to re-glue the end towards the blade after a few cuts. On just physical appearance the handle was a very light wood not reddish brown like the pic. (It’s a tool so oh well, but for those who try to match wood handles on your leather tools this matters) Other than that, it’s been good and I hope to upgrade to more Weaver tools someday soon. If they’re anything like this knife they’ll take your leather crafting to the next level.

Wicked Sharp

At almost $100, I thought they could at least throw in a nice pouch (but there's a project). And my knife handle is a lot lighter that the one pictured. The tool looks old and used. But I must also confess, I am probably going to cut myself a few times on this bad boy; it is SHARP; exactly what i was looking for! I had thought of buying a cheaper one and a skiver but it occurred to me one tool could do both jobs, so that justified the price. I will be purchasing one of those "knife" gloves for my left hand to offset the predicted damage, lol.

absolutely stunning and razor sharp.

This tool is an absolute dream. Being a little bit more than the competition but worth every penny. I am even comparing this in performance with my South African Pattern Knife. It performs in just about every way just as good. Although it doesn't have the same finish and finesse, it is made it in the USA and is now my favorite cutting tool in my leather working arsenal. It cuts straight, it skives without effort and it's the sharp out of the box. I was actually not a fan of round knives before. My previous one was dull and lost it's edge quickly. This is not the case at all with this. I highly recommend this.

Wish I’d got this sooner

How did I get by without this? Clean easy to control cutting. Nice thin slicing blade with good edge retention. Easy to maintain if your comfortable using a strop and hones well on ceramic rods. Just put a bit of thought into the sheath you’ll need to make. I just slapped mine together. In the photo you can see how the blade can be exposed; this has cut me a few times and I really should remake it. It’s a bit deceiving how high up the points come.

Needs work

A decent knife out of the box, but needs quite a bit of work on the hone to get it really sharp. Once I was done sharpening it, it cut pretty well and got the job done. At this price point, you really can’t expect more than that. If you are looking for something razor sharp out of the box, you will need to invest a little more money. Otherwise, it is a decent starter knife for someone on a budget.
