Best purchase ever

I bought this before my dog knew how to fetch and now that he loves fetch, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. First, it’s pretty easy to learn how to use and you don’t have to touch the slobbery mess that your dog drops at your feet with your bare hands. Second, the foldability of this model is great for putting in a backpack. Third, the rubber ball included is so much better than the fuzzy tennis ball that comes with other chuckit models, especially for those who have dogs that like to rip the fuzz off of all tennis balls. Finally, I discovered that I could stick kibble into the hollow ball and use it as a treat dispenser.

Unconventional Use-Collecting Chicken Eggs from Coop

One of my Facebook friends suggested using this device for collecting difficult to reach eggs from the chicken coop. We have 4 large dogs, so I figured if it didn't work for the chicken eggs, we'd certainly use it with the dogs. However, it has really been a big help in collecting eggs. Our chickens lay all over the play, not just in nice, neat, easy to reach nesting boxes. When the eggs are found in mud or puddles, this device is wonderful and it helps to chase away the chickens in a gentle manor when the are gathered in the area of the eggs. This might sound silly, but if you own chickens, especially ones that have an open area to lay, you just might find this a helpful tool to collect your eggs without breaking your back or getting your hands muddy/dirty. It also works great in playing ball with our Saint Beranrds.

Saves my arm!

This is great tool to play with your fur friend. It helps me to throw the hall further for my pup. It also grabs the 3” balls ok too. It’s a little tight but still releases it well. I have a bad arm and this makes throwing the ball so much easier and farther. Also don’t have to worry about grabbing the ball with slobber or who knows what else on it lol. I highly recommend!

I always saw these in dog parks, but 2 of my dogs arent a fan of random dogs, and 1 is scared of strangers. I wanted to get one because my dogs love to play fetch. Never knew they made a tiny one till I saw it on here, and its great for my kids, my bad EDS wrists, and works for my small dogs. Very happy with this

Avoid imitations

I have tried other brands and they just don’t come close to the Chuck-It brand. I throw at least 30 times a day to exercise my Vizsla and the Chuck-It easily lets me throw 4-5 times as fames I could throwing without it. Eliminates arm strain. I use regular tennis balls - make sure you order the right size for your ball. They also have a couple lengths - I didn’t see a big difference in performance between the two. Should last for years.

Best thing to wear down an active dog!

I love these things, my dog is a fetch addict this saves me from bending over 10234812x a day to throw the ball, and allows you to get some serious distance on the tosses. Amazon price is better than every store I have been into.

Lab owners best friend

The chuck-it was a game changer in our house. With a high energy one year old lab it takes a lot to tire her out and this does the trick! Upgrade to the glow-in-the-dark ball and you can play day & night!

The best toy investment I have ever made!

Love this toy....my chug loves to fetch and was getting able to outrun the ball when I threw it. This Chuckit has made it easy to throw a long distance. She runs and retrieves the ball going full speed ahead. I will recommend this to my friends.

Genius design, a complete game changer!

The media could not be loaded. I've just had a baby and I needed to find a way to hang all of my dog's walking gear on my belt (including my ball thrower as I need to avoid bending to pick up balls) as my little girl goes out in a sling with me so I can't wear a bag. This is just the most amazing, innovative design ever and the quality surpasses all other ball throwers I've had. Pros: • Obviously... It folds! Which is the reason I wanted it. I can just slip the handle behind my waist belt and have it hang. It sits comfortably against my hip and I can just pull it out, unfold it and voila and it isn't heavy • The little plastic slide cover in the centre just clicks into place and it's easy to change it from folded to unfolded; when straight it is solid and never unfolds by accident • When you get the hang of it, with a little wrist action you can throw the ball extremely far - my dog is knackered! • Super long so you can easily pick up balls without bending over • Fits medium sized chuckit balls and has one provided (with a hole in) Cons: • Not really a con, but with the "teeth" design on the ball bit, you can't just throw the ball as it will end up aimed at the floor - you need to sort of flick your wrist when launching This is one of the best purchases I've ever made for dog walking. It wasn't easy to find either - people need to know this exists! What a genius idea from this company. The plastic is durable and far better quality than standard ball throwers and the design is unique and a complete game changer. My dog and I are loving it and I wouldn't be without it - I can't recommend it enough to any dog walker needing to be hands-free or needs a compact solution for throwing balls.

Accepts 2 inch ultra balls

Bought to replace one I lost. I have small dogs (Boston Terrier and Shih Tzu and French bulldog). It comes with a 2inch tennis type ball- fluffy coating. It is also ideal size for the 2inch chuckit ultra ball (not supplied) that is made from a durable orange & blue rubber. Practice the correct technique and it will serve you well. Photos for size comparison and also to show the 2inch supplied fluffy ball and the 2 inch ultra ball that you can buy separately.

A full sized launcher in half the size!

I have used a full sized Chuckit launcher for my dogs for many years but it is cumbersome to take on a walk, usually means holding it in one hand as shoving it through a belt results in it banging against your legs. Shorter launchers are frankly still cumbersome and didn’t throw the ball far enough. Enter the folding launcher! Brilliant! It hangs nicely over a belt without getting in the way and goes securely together with a wide plastic sleeve that slides over the hinge in a second. Takes the medium/tennis ball sized balls. Once unfolded and secured you have a full sized launcher and yes, you can really ‘wang it’ (not with a welly, though). My current dog loves the whistler ball as she doesn’t always watch where the ball goes, and I get a good whoop-whoop-whoop from it using this launcher. Happy dog - happy owner!

More like CHUCKIT IN THE BIN ???????????? (So pleased with myself right now) OK let s start from the fact that if a dog wants to chew on the launcher or the ball , IT WILL DESTROY IT. I ve seen a few negative reviews of people saying launcher and ball got chewed within seconds.... OF COURSE! People, we are talking about a plastic launcher and a tennis ball. If you have a chewer in your hands,u must know that a DOG CAN CHEW THROUGH WOOD PANELS (???????????????? yes i had to replace a door once) . So plastic IS NOTHNG TO THEM!! Same as giving a lollipop to a 3 yo. They will chew it in 10 secs !!!! So the point is: DO NOT LET your dog chew the launcher. It s plastic. Dogs have teeth.Doesn't take the brain of Britain to see the logic there doesn't it?????? Now the tennis ball... that s a different story. They will chew it. Yes. Because that s a tennis ball and it s not made of concrete. I purchased the 46 cm chuck it launcher plus ball 2 days ago. The launcher works great. Flexible enough, long enough. Great. The ball is no longer one but 2 halves. But I did expect that. And it was only chewed during fetch time by the border collie I look after. Every time he fetched it he would chew on it a little , bless him lol. TO SUM UP: great launcher. don't expect the ball to last.

Launcher = great. Tennis ball = excrement

The media could not be loaded. This launcher, although small, allows me to cast a really long throw for my little terror! It is durable and I cannot forsee it being damaged in any way through proper use. However, the tennis ball that came with it is beyond dreadful; it's downright dangerous. I saw a few people commenting in their reviews that the quality of the tennis ball was shoddy and I thought to myself "They've probably got dogs that are 'chewers' who have destroyed it themselves". Therefore, I really was not anticipating any problems with the included ball..... How wrong was I?! Listen to the reviews, the ball is awful. My lad is not a chewer, simply a retriever, and after a few days, the ball itself was breaking at the join, inside the felt. It also has an 'Chuckit' emblem on the ball which has all the quality of a temporary tattoo: I don't want my dog ingesting that!! To be honest, I chucked the Chuckit tennis ball in the bin as it is definitely not fit for purpose. The Ultra rubber balls are great and the corresponding size will fit this launcher. If you specifically want tennis balls though, use Kong Air Squeaker balls as I've always found them to be exceptionally long-lasting and good quality.
