Dogs love it

This is a big hit with the dogs at the dog park. They love chasing and trying to catch it. It would be much tougher if it was a solid ring instead of a hollow ring. Dogs can chew through it. I had to replace the first ring after only 30 minutes as my dog chewed it through. I have replaced it once.

LOVE IT!

My puppy almost couldn't wait to get to our play spot when she saw we had new Chuck-it toys. The ring launcher did not disappoint. She had a blast! Chuck-it makes the best toys for my super energetic border collie pup.

Good, not great.

My boy can spaniel loves this thing and I can say that it is a decent toy. The one time he snuck it in the house and was able to chew on it for 5 minutes. He destroyed it. It fades pretty quickly from its original bright orange color. The handle is extremely sturdy and works well. Overall, this toy is fun and works well when not left to their own devices. Rolls quickly but take some getting used to regarding the throw.

Ring chuck dog throw

Fun for all sizes!

So when my friend told me that I needed to try the chuck it throwers out I was not sold because my dog just doesn't love to chase balls.... But the ring was a game changer! We love playing with the throw ring... We love playing tug of war with the throw ring. I play with a group of dogs that varies from 80 lb down to 10 lb and everybody has fun. I will admit it's not super durable, so when the big dog gets it we can't let him go to town on it or it will be destroyed. The little dogs have not had the same problem though. Overall I'll keep buying it

Not a good choice for me and my dog

This is a clever new toy, and it looked really cool when I saw someone using one at a dog park. But, now that I've used one, it offers nothing much over the ball ChuckIt (which is great), and has many weaknesses vs. the ball ChuckIt . The weaknesses effect me, but might not be an issue for others. YMMV I use ChuckIt toys at dog parks. My local dog parks have tennis balls, ChuckIt balls, and other ChuckIt compatible balls laying around. I (and others in the community) collect used balls from tennis players to leave at the parks. With that preamble, here are the con's of "Chuckit! Ring Chaser Launcher Dog Toy" for me: * It only works with the ChuckIt ring. My dog loves to chase balls, etc., but she isnt very good at bringing them back. With a bunch of balls I can chuck one after another without having to retrieve them. With the ring, if she doesnt bring it back, I have to go get it. If we lose the ring, or another dog takes it and runs away with it, well, that's that. * It rolls and bounces nicely, but so do tennis balls. Other than the initial novelty, my dog didnt find the ring any more exciting that a ball (of course, she is bonkers about chasing virtually anything, so, since a ball is a 10, a ring, or any other new type of thing, is at best also going to be a 10.) * I find it much easier to pick up balls with the ball ChuckIt than it is to pick up the ring with the ring ChuckIt. * The ball ChuckIt I have is longer than the ring ChuckIt, making it easier to pick up balls without bending over as much as much as with rings. * With the ball ChuckIt I have a lot of choices as to how I throw the ball. High and far, hard at the nearby ground to get a big bounce, sideways for long rolling, bouncing (which is exactly what the ring does), and so on. I only found one way to throw the ring. No only does that make the ring less entertaining, it means that I am making exactly the same chucking motion over and over, which is harder on my shoulder. Also, I find it more challenging to throw the ring so that it rolls well. So yeah, this new ring toy is clever, but as far as I am concerned it has no advantages over the ball ChuckIt but has many disadvantages, as well as being an addition thing to buy and carry around.

Too Flimsy

I bought this to use the launcher with the chuck it ultra fetch stick. It works, but it is kind of a weird fit and it took me a while to get the hang of how to pick up the toy with the launcher. Then it worked great for about two weeks until it broke. Not sturdy at all. Too bad, because my dog really loves the ultra fetch stick and I like it too, but I hate having to bend over and pick it up. Especially when it’s muddy and filthy.

difficult to throw

i have used a ball thrower before i bought this with no problems but this just falls out on my back swing or just bounces off the ground. I have tried several different ways and had other people try but not very successful. I don't think the ring holder is strong enough to hold it while it's thrown, for the price of 20 pounds not great value.

Great motivator

I bought this to act as a motivator for my spaniel. It’s created more focus on me and he will really work for a throw. Very stimulating as it bounces along the ground but beware it can go a great distance

Not for aggressive chews

It won’t last if you have an aggressive chewer.. less then 5mins and it was in bits.. never got chance to throw it!

Thrower doesn't work

We tried many many times to use the thrower with this ring. It is a robust product but it doesn't work. It's hard to load the ring up without touching it (defeating the object!!) and it's also quite hard to dislodge it from the thrower. You really had to get the right angle. In the end we've given up and just use the ring which our dog likes to chase. Would not therefore recommend this product
