Update: I ordered six fire screens. Not all at once. One arrived with some broken glass. The replacement was perfect. I inspected them all after I received them. However, after I was ready to frame them, I discovered one leaf with a crack. I will touch up the crack with some clear silicone on a toothpick. A bead of crazy glue on the crack might do the trick too. The leaf is dark, so the repair should hardly be visible. I will use six of the side panels on a window over our headboard. I will frame three panels together as one unit. I have two windows that will need two each of the center panels. I will frame one of the 3 piece screens as a unit. The remaining panels will go on the last window. If there are any panels left over, I will frame them and give them as gifts. These are intended to allow light into our home, but screen our view of the neighbors. They will offer more privacy than sheer drapery panels. These panels are beautiful. Original review: I will be putting this in a window. The window sections fit perfectly in the groove of 3/4" solid oak flooring. I will frame the pieces. The picture shows the fire screen sitting in the window temporarily. I have also attached a picture with a scrap piece of oak flooring with the window completely slid into the flooring groove. I will trim the tongue side of the flooring to get the frame size perfect. The colors are not as pictured. The cream colored background on the center portions are not an off white or cream colored opaque glass. The glass is clear obscure glass. One of the pictures I have added shows a close up of the clear obscure glass. This is a plus for my needs, as I want natural light to enter my room. The hinge pins fall out, so be careful when unpacking. I need to obscure the view from our bedroom window that is only 5' from the fence line. These panels will be perfect! I would NOT trust this as a fire screen. The hinges are bad and when trying to move it as a screen, it comes apart and it is tippie. It is NOT stable enough to use as a fireplace screen. Used as a fireplace screen it is destined to fall over and shatter.

It looks great and is very well priced.

The glass is done very well and the overall look is beautiful. The way the hinge is installed is insufficient to keep it together and balanced. The hinge is made from the metal edge and held together with a wire bent 90® at the top. I forced the wire as far down as it would go and bent the bottom. That helped a lot to keep the pieces together.

Lovely fireplace acreen

Very nice quality and arrived in perfect condition. The colors are lovely and it looks very elegant. I wanted it to cover up an ugly fireplace and this works perfectly. It is delicate so you need to be careful assembling it.

Somewhat unstable when erected, so read on...

This is a heavy piece of glass. Was pretty well protected for shipping, and there was no damage when opened. The weld points are somewhat sloppy but it's not $2000 either. You get what you pay for. The glass is very nice and about 1/4" thick. This is a heavy item with no feet, so when it is folded out, it is only sitting on the 1/4" base and nothing more, just as the picture shows. I'd give it five stars but that alone is eventually going to lead to instability and a broken item at some point in any house that has a hearth that is near or close to dogs, children or clumsy adults. I bought this for my elderly mother in law for Christmas. (She picked it out and it was what she wanted, and there are no small children around, so it probably won't be an issue.) If you are handy and could weld small foot brackets, it would be a plus.
