It's worked good on the walls I've rebuilt. It occasionally has little trouble on the thicker walls.

Worked as intended. Cheap yet professional quality. Sleek design. Only issue I had was roaming AC detection. The product without a doubt found AC current in wall but when scanning in a known area where AC was not present it false positive hit. Would but again.

very accurate for my first use.

I used this first time for finding the studs and electrical wiring prior to installing metal shelving. It was very easy to locate the studs as there are a light on each side that light up and then the middle light when on center. Put a circle in the opening and done. Did not miss a stud. For electrical it was a bit trickier. The accuracy on that is not near as close as located studs. but if you understand how houses are wired, you can com close to being spot on. I did pick up a location that seemed electrical across the wall for four feet which I thought was unusual. Looking at the other side of the wall, there was two swag fixtures that had the wiring run across the studs. Problem solved. For the money, so far a great value.

The power button is horrible!

This Craftsman stud finder LOOKS COOL, but the function is horrible. Holding the power button while sliding this thing is a chore. And then it's THREE inches wide, so good luck finding something close to a corner. But the critical flaw is, I have no idea what it is beeping for? The instructions are practically non-existant, some ambiguous drawings with no text. Am I at the edge, or the center? I have no idea. My Stanley stud finder was about 10 years old and worked better. I can't find it, very sad so I ordered this. SAD.

Read Reviews and look elsewhere first

So far I'm not impressed. Received as a gift after my previouse stud finder of 15 years died. This one constantly finds AC power where none is run and doesn't seem to find the stud well at all? To late to return it, so I'm stuck.

Fait le travail mais...

Bon produit, fait le travail mais l'état de l'appareil versus le prix, honnêtement jeter le la prochaine fois. Il fonctionne mais les batteries ont de la misère à tenir dedans, j'ai dû réparer moi-même l'appareil. Le cosmétique laisse à désirer, plein de poussière et clairement c'est un gars de construction qui l'avais. Laisse à désirer + batterie ne fonctionne même plus. Prochaine fois je vais en acheter un neuf pour la différence de prix.

Absolute garbage

My 10 year old Stanley does a better job - I just can't find it anymore! You can see in the picture how it kept giving conflicting results. Useless and a waste of time!

Good stud finder, not reliable for AC detection

The stud finder part works well but the AC detection doesn’t. My entire wall is electrified according to this. Nearest outlet/wiring was over 8’ away.

Does not work at all!

Upset with this purchase, and only tried using it now for the first time since buying. Past return period. I'm stuck with a stud finder that does not work. DO NOT BUY!
