poorly designed can't be filled as designed
This product is designed with 4 rails and 20 posts on each rail to hold a total of 80 sockets; rail #1 has 20 total 1/2" posts/clips rail #2 has 20 total 3/8" posts/clips rail #3 has 20 total 1/4" post/clips rail #4 has 20 total, 10- 1/2" post/clips and 10 - 3/8" post clips. As you can see in the image, this means that the larger 1/2" sockets prevent using the whole row, after 11 SAE sockets the remaining 9 clips can't be used and jam up the remaining space, the 3/8" posts run out of room with 6 remaining. The 1/4" posts are a waste of space with 1/3 of the row empty after all 20 posts are utilized. Lastly the row with 1/2" and 3/8" posts combined really only let you use either the 10 - 1/2" or the 10 - 3/8". Did no one designing this actually attempt to put sockets on it at any time? There is the ability to carefully remove the post/clips and rearrange the order which I will do to combine the 1/4 posts on the same rows as the 1/2" so that I can utilize more of each rail. but this begs the question of why it didn't come that way and why they wouldn't provide a mix of post/clips that could actually be utilized to hang 80 sockets. 30-40 1/4" with only 20 each of the 3/8 and 1/2 posts or better yet, increase the rail lengths by about 4" so that it can be fully utilized with the posts given. There is no world in which this combination of rail length and post/clips can be fully utilized.
