Is this the Salad Spinner to End All Salad Spinners?
After reading dozens of salad spinner reviews, watching videos on the subject, and waiting for years for "them" to invent something better than the Oxo pump mechanism acrylic saiad spinner (which I had owned 2 sizes of and decided I didn't like), I finally decided to get this inexpensive, no-frills spinner. My other options were the ultra high-end stainless steel kinds - you know the kind I mean. The kind that cost 3 digits, and still has plastic parts, except that you get an expensive stainless steel bowl that you don't need because you already have lots of those. Decided to give this Good Cook inexpensive model last try before I go for high-end. It's not bad. The handle means you can really hold on to it (but due to centrifugal force, still need to rest it on a kitchen towel or nonslip mat as it has no rubber feet). It opens and shuts firmly and easily (no fussy latches). It has really large capacity (takes up counter space, but my small, space-saving Progressive spinner can't handle the amount of salad I need to dry). The lid goes easily into the dishwasher and is designed so that it would not retain a lot of water when you take it out of the machine (fairly open-air design). The spin mechanism is fairly efficient (large circles when you turn). However, it takes a lot more arm strength than expected to spin the knob vigorously (not for the feeble). No brakes, but I don't miss brakes. DOES IT DRY? I would say it has average drying power. I had to give salad two very vigorous spins before every leaf was completely dry-looking. The most annoying thing about this spinner is that there are two large paper stickers on it (with brand/logo), that you have to carefully peel off so as not to leave adhesive smears. Plastic is average thickness, not stiff/brittle - it's the flexible kind - obviously as this price point it's not super durable plastic, but my Progressive spinner has lasted 10 years and is made of the same plastic. I hope this is it. If not, I'll have to upgrade again.

Works great
This really does a good job , but it's much larger than I expected or needed.

Best salad spinner ever!
LOVE this salad spinner. It's super handy to have the handle. The crank is much easier to use than other cranks. It dries the lettuce more thoroughly than any other salad spinner I've ever had. Nice big basket fits lots of greens!!

Capacious, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Durable
The GoodCook Salad Spinner will take up a lot of storage space, but that's to be expected with something that handles such a large amount of greens at the same time. When the contents are well balanced, the spinner works smoothly and does a great job of extracting most of the water. The handle is nice for holding it steady while spinning and for pouring the water out. The plastic the spinner is made of seems less prone to cracking than the clearer material used on some other salad spinners. The spinner is a simple mechanism with no added bells and whistles such as a brake but you can easily stop the spin, if you wish, by hand. Overall, we are very happy with this product that we chose for its large capacity but are also pleased with how well it functions.

Best salad spinner ever!
Best salad spinner ever! My sister originally purchased this same salad spinner from a grocery store. She gave it to me because she didn't use it. I used it every day. At some point after a few years, it cracked and I couldn't find it again anywhere. Praise God I found it on Amazon. It does an EXCELLENT job of spinning the lettuce and making it dry. The simpler the salad spinner, the better. I still eat salads every day for lunch and hands down, this is the best salad spinner I've ever used.

This is our second one, really love this product!
This is our second purchase of this product - LOVE it! Easy to use, the lid stays put when it's spinning and it holds an entire head of lettuce. Able to use the spinner to store the lettuce in the refrigerator, saves transfering it to a bag (and my time!) Also love having the handle to grasp when spinning - I have never had a problem with this "walking" off the counter. The only problem - the heading for the spinner describes it as "two blue stackable ice cube trays", but the description and pic were the salad spinner. A bit confusing....

Salad Spinner
I believe the picture was a tad misleading as the product is for larger portions.

Nice salad spinner
Works perfectly to spin out water from greens and fits a lot of salad. I like the handle and spout to easily pour out liquid. You do have to hold down the lid with your hand while you spin and there isn’t a rubbery bottom to keep the unit from slipping on the counter while using it. Because of this I find myself hugging the bowl and holding the lid with one hand while I turn the spinning mechanism with the other. The spinning mechanism sometimes makes a loud screeching noise while it’s in use but it’s not a dealbreaker since it's a very quick process. I bought this one because in the past I’ve had other spinners that have the clear, hard acrylic bowls that cracked the first time they were dropped. The bowl on this model is made of a softer plastic that’s a bit more forgiving in that aspect.

I actually bought this to wash delicates and small clothing items
Centrifugal force is awesome, if it works on salads then it works on most everything else. Seeing as I'm trying to wash clothes in it, I looked around for the biggest and sturdiest salad spinner I could find with free ship. This one is perfect: holds 6L, easy to crank handle, sturdy construction, great design, and cheap considering the quality against what other brands are selling. The most notable thing about this spinner is how "energy efficient" it is. You don't have to use much effort or speed to spin it very fast. Even when I'm spinning a shirt along with 3L of water inside to wash it's incredibly easy, yet the water moves around fast enough to gush out of the spout. Needless to say, it works even better to spin water out. I'm very impressed. Note that if you try wash heavy and dense things (like some fruits and vegetables) and try to spin it too fast, the spinner will rock violently (much like an actual washing machine) or the lid and basket will lose traction and make a scraping sound.

What a great salad spinner
This salad spinner is exactly what I have been looking for! I love that the plastic has some give to it and as a result won't split like many other spinners I have purchased over the years. This spinner is by no means fancy, it is entirely and solely a functional piece - which is exactly what I needed. It is also quite large, easily spin and prepare a meal sized salad for 4 people. The plastic base seems strong and the spinner top is easy to clean and appears to have less doodads, meaning, less stuff to break. The straining spout is so awesome, I don't have to open the entire spinner to get the liquid out for subsequent spins - YAY!

Nice and big for families and hosting guests
Big & sturdy! Our previous flimsy spinner (finally cracked) would fit inside our largest pot, but this one needs its own parking spot somewhere in the kitchen. Sturdy and effective. Easy oversized measuring-cup style bowl with handle to pour out the spun water. Shame they didn't put volume markings up the side or this could have doubled as a massive measuring cup. I'm sure it is dishwasher safe (as advertised) but we choose to hand wash because that should help it last longer (and otherwise it would squeeze out a lot of actual dishes in the load). Overall, yes we're satisfied.

Great value, large capacity, works really well!
This product delivers, it's versatile in that you can use it as a spinner, jug, or storage container. The handle feature makes it super easy to pull out from the back of my cabinet and allows for easy pouring as well. The spinner gets your veggies nice and dry and the price point is very reasonable. Would purchase again.

The .....BEST.......Salad Spinner......EVER.
I was hoping the positive reviews were accurate, and they were! I’ve gone through quite a few others in the past, and this one is excellent on all counts. Very large capacity, sturdy, easy to use and clean, and does a great job. The bowl is a type of plastic, that if taken care of, will not crack. I don’t think I’ll ever need to purchase one again ????
