Okay but not exactly what I expected
This is good quality paper but I thought that a vellum at 55 pounds would be much less transparent. It is simply a bit too transparent for what I intended. I wanted it for use with Markers and I don't think it is ideal. I do have the Same Brand Paper for Markers and it is nice but this is essentially high quality tracing paper and not really suited for technical pen drawings or marker drawings. Will find some use for it. But it is more transparent than 16 lb Drafting Vellum, which has enough opacity for it to be good for drafting and technical drawings. In General this Paper is Good only as Tracing Paper.

Low Cost for High Quality Results
Worked great to wrap around our wedding invites. We then used a wax seal to keep the vellum closed. Was a great professional touch that really made our wedding invitations stand out.

Finally! READ UPDATE:
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Excellent quality vellum! UPDATE: The last 4 pads I've ordered have arrived damaged. Bent corners and dirty. I'm so disappointed because I really love this paper! I don't know why they won't send me one that isn't damaged? ???? I have ordered several more. I'll keep you updated as to what I receive. Keeping fingers crossed! Second update: Okay...I ordered three more pads and they were ALL DAMAGED! Ugh. I picked the one that was the least damaged and kept it and I'm sending the other two back. This item is usually more expensive at other stores. I personally think (at least the 14x17) are being sold at a discounted price for being damaged, but they should tell you that first? ???? If you want this brand new without damage you'll have to buy it from Blick or somewhere else. If you order here, sometimes you might get lucky and order one that's not too bad. This review is based on my personal experience after ordering it NINE TIMES.

Good for Ink
It's sturdier than normal tracing paper and takes ink well and it dries fast. The paper is kind of wavy and it's a little annoying to work with, but in a tight frame it wouldnt be noticeable

Worth the price

Exceptional quality among vellum
No complaint whatsoever. Exquisite. Had I known before I used up a whole pad from another brand, I would have looked here on Amazon instead of getting that other one from my school supplies. The sheet is so thick and solid, yet extremely transparent - so easy to trace and see the colours on it. For use with markers, as the sheet seems much less porous, it retains an applied colour for a long time without absorbing it right through, enabling blending with others even after 1-2 hours. Also, for drafting of plans with pencils, the lead doesn't get into the paper, like in some other brand's products (Can't remember the name but it was some "cotton-blend" thing), so it doesn't require to go over the same line for so many times to achieve heavier line weights. Like their tracing paper which comes in a pad, this product is top of the line, in my opinion. I won't even experiment and try another brand.

Amazing high quality/durable translucent paper. I used it with a light table to draw an anatomical model of a creature. On different layers, I drew the skeleton, the muscles, and the exteriors using ink. I can't go back to ordinary tracing paper.

Not too thin
This is a good vellum paper, quite translucent and a decent heavy weight for the project I needed it for. I was able to print on it using my HP printer.
