My OG drawing paper
This paper is my OG. Blending and sketching all the way to the final result is an experience. The only median I have used on this paper is lead (not charcoal). I just need to switch to automatic deliveries.

Great for the price!
This is a pretty nice sketch pad for quick study drawing and practicing one's various sketch techniques. What is probably my favorite thing about this pad -(we bought this for one of our daughters)- is that it is spiral-bound, making it trouble-free to go back and forth between unfinished pages with very little chance of the paper coming out (as can be typical with glue-bound pads with repeated page-turning). The back of this pad is hard-ish and allows one to use this on their lap to do some casual sketching and practice -(at least until you get down to the last 30 or so pages, then it can get bendy and "iffy" from that point)- without needing a table or alternate hard surface to bear down on beneath. While the papers are sprial-bound, each page has a smooth line perforation in case the artist wants to cleanly remove any pages from the pad. The paper itself is good for this price range, it's got a very slight tooth, and is pretty sturdy for what it is, as long as it's not excessively erased or very heavily blended with blending stumps. The paper stands up well to normal sketching and with 100 sheets of paper, should bring any artist (using dry media) several hours of practice/sketching pleasure.

An Artist can only take so may risks in life ...
An Artist can only take so may risks in life.. no. An artist can only make so mistakes on paper. Yes. No! not with paper This is the most forgiving , loving paper .. I've weaved baskets, nets, sponges, soaked in dye baths, burned it, mulched it and re made it, crumpled it, ironed it, spent 10 months on single drawings.. beat the sht on this paper and it just begging me to keep on testing it.. me.. Okay .. there's a place on 10 and 2nd where you can get some crazy paper.. Anyway.. if I were to jump out of an airplane.. this paper and "general's charcoal" and I'd be all set!

SPIRAL BOUND, no wrapper for shipping
Based on the product photo, I was expecting a flat bound pad (thermal or whatever). Instead this is spiral bound. Looking very close at the photo I now see there are tiny black dots where the holes for the spiral binding would be at the top, but the actual spiral binding is not shown. The spiral binding is just a bit too small, so pages get messed up when you turn them. Finally, the pad was shipped with no wrapper or protection of any kind, just thrown in a large box with some other thing I had ordered. Predictably it got beat up during shipping, so some of the pages were bent and creased. I wouldn't normally give a bad rating due to shipping damage, but this is due to the way it's packed. The paper itself is nice, so if you don't mind the spiral binding and are willing to take a chance on shipping damage, maybe you'll be happy with it.

Perfect for a budding artist
Got this pad for my brother for his birthday this year. He has just now started to draw and really enjoys working in it. It says it's just for drawing on the front but you can pretty much use it with markers, pen and ink, coloring, professional charcoal and drawing pencils...the paper itself is a pretty heavy weight so I wouldn't be surprised if you could use it to paint watercolor on. Anyways, if you're interested in purchasing a drawing pad like this...don't go to an arts and crafts/department store. You need to purchase it here on Amazon. I work in an Arts and Crafts store and we charge $15 EASY for a smaller version of this pad. Outrageously expensive compared to the price here.

Son like it for his art class...
Got this for my son's art class and he likes it. Should be a bit cheaper, but then again, you get what you pay for, so this is a decent buy.

Nice tooth
Good quality paper with smooth and toothy sides. Easy to use with graphite. Handles multiple erasings very well. Can be used with aquarelle type pencils as long as you don't use too much water.
