It's Strathmore

I absolutely love Strathmore paper. I picked this up to try with soft pastels. My initial thought was that the paper would be too smooth to hold pastels. I was in the verge of returning it but decided to try anyway. I'm glad I did.

not standard width

Slightly odd size (longer proportionately than most paper). Decent drawing paper.

this black paper sucks up glittery get pens..

was hoping my sakura glitter gel pens would work good on this paper,but all it does is suck up and absorb the colors and leaves gold glitter..no colors..so,i will try gouache paint and pencils i guess..

Works perfect for pastels

Perfect paper as a base for pastel art. The texture dots can be smoothed out so it doesn’t come through in your drawings. Definitely worth the buy.

Amazing. I adore the toned tan and toned grey sketchbooks by strathmore but the paper buckles when I do heavy colored pencil pieces so for about A YEAR I've been saying, "wouldn't it be so cool if strathmore had thick toned paper with different colors? Like pink ????" seriously already existed. Just angry it took me so long to find it. It's so good. The paper is thick... like thicccccc. You could wave it like a fan and someone across the country would feel the breeze. It's also very smooth. Slightly reminds me of a bristol,, but more perfect. Also contains multiple tones. Love this. Loooove it

Beautiful paper with striking results

I love working on this paper. Negative drawing is a challenge for me and I love trying to figure it out how to make it look right. I also love the challenge of only using one pencil for the entire drawing. The simplicity of it. I’ve only used white charcoal so I don’t know how well colored pencils would look on it. The paper is pretty thick so it can take some erasing with no problem. I’ve loved the results I get with this paper. I’ve included some of my work (@nian73.art on Instagram) on this particular paper and size. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

Fun to work with!

I have been very impressed with this paper - I’m fairly new to art (July 2029) and I admit I was a little bit tentative about using such a very different coloured background! It’s lovely and thick with a very slight texture. I have seen some really good pictures on the internet that have been done on this paper and thought I would have a go! I’m delighted with my results (I usually draw pet pictures) so this was a different type of picture for me. My son’s baby scan drawing was done with white charcoal- looking forward to doing more pictures with this paper!!

Amazing for drawings

I love this for drawings!! I do animal commissions (Etsy is georgiasartstudio and you can get one) and I love how they turned out!! I used gel pen and white crayon on this and it looks amazing. Definitely recommend!!

Excellent quality

This is a paper I wanted to do white colour pencil paintings on and is very good quality and will take a lot of layers and it arrived quickly and with no damage
