Powerful Vacuum
Bought this one to replace an older portable vacuum (died after 15 years). It uses electro-magnetic charging where you just place it on the base and it charges. It's a very strong vacuum and surpasses our older one. It uses the non-bag method filtering. It doesn't take long before it's time to empty the container. I suggest emptying it sooner than later. It's a pain to empty any of the canister-type vacuums if you let the debris get higher than the "full" line. Otherwise you will have to use a elongate probe to pull the debris down to be able to remove it. All in all, this vacuum is strong and picks up everything we use it for i.e. cat litter, crumbs, dirt, hair, small food particles etc.

Black & Decker v. portutif
My dad just bought a portutif handheld vac for $39.99 for his car. It works fine, but it has a rubber smell, and some parts aren’t made very well. So I bought this one, because I’ve always wanted one, I was jealous that he had one, and I wanted him to see a real handheld vac. I accidentally bought two, so now he has two. If I cared more, I would make a video. The B & D is superior! Yay! And only $10 more. It has better suction, is clearly more sturdy and it doesn’t have any stinky odors. It’s also more convenient because all the attachments are actually attached, so you’re not going to lose them, or need the little bag that comes with the portutif. That being said, my dad’s vac (besides the odor that he can’t seem to smell), is a fine handheld vacuum. It advertises around a 25 min battery charge, but has much longer. The differences in suction is not that much. I prefer the Black & Decker, it doesn’t take too long to charge (I didn’t time it yet) after the battery runs down. And it is very convenient. One little annoyance: it has a place to hang it on the wall, but doesn’t come with the thing to hang it on. Irritating right? Yet my dad’s cheaper one can hang out all day long on the wall, mocking me. I will update with any big developments in my vac’s life. BTW, both vacs are strong enough to suck up a large bug. Neither are strong enough to kill the large bug -that is, if you happen to have a large bug in your home in a hard to reach place. How you handle the live bug in the vacuum is your own business.

very loud
I've always had a Dustbuster and they usually last for years. I use mine every day, particularly to pick up dog hair. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is so unbelievably loud. Maybe it will get less noisy as time goes on but it's really annoying to listen to while using it. Also, the description says that it can be wall mounted, like all the other ones I've had, but that's not the case with this one. It sits on a round charging station which I've had to place on a shelf instead of the wall. Not a big deal in my situation but others might not have the space for it.

Totally loved it!
It's a bit loud (nothing too unbearable), but it cleans damn amazing, when I emptied the bowl (I have 6 dogs, chihuahuas), it was almost a pillow of dog hair & dust (I have hardwood floor). I'm not in the states (I bring it to another country, because the ones that sells here kinda sucks), so I had to buy a power adapter for 110 to 220 & it works so good! Its a must buy, its easy to clean, has great suction power, easy to reach unreachable areas, comfy to use & charges pretty fast!

Excellent Price $49 and Suction: BLACK+DECKER 16 watt AdvancedClean Vacuum (CHV1410L)
BLACK+DECKER dustbuster AdvancedClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum (CHV1410L) Blue and White 16 Volt Great: The ON BUTTON STAYS on so you don’t need to press it the whole time while vacuuming Great: Dust and dirt stays sealed inside and DOES NOT blow out of the back Excellent suction for 20 MINUTES 1. NEXT: clean out the dirt: Easily detach the vac unit and seat it onto the CHARGING STATION: the BLUE LIGHT goes on to show charging-even though the dirt container is not attached-- (it seems WOBBLY on the charging station but it is fine) 2. Shake/tap/pull out the dirt from the 3 DIRT TANK pieces (see photo) —it is NOT MESSY—you can do it in the house. Take apart and RINSE off the 3 middle pieces —(SO EASY) and let them dry while the unit re-charges. - Lightweight, and very COMFORTABLE AND BALANCED handheld unit - Built-in crevice tool is always attached and so convenient (and it’s easy to clean) -Perhaps a little noisy I love the convenience of my new vac and have used it several times. I would highly recommend it for the suction and price. Now I’ve used the vac a lot for 2 months--it’s great. I was a little concerned over some of the cons other people wrote—but I am still thrilled: Maybe all cordless lithium battery vacs have the same problems—I don’t know. (I’m wondering if the lower reviews are because the 3 dirt cups are not being fully rinsed and cleaned out. Other reviewers: “The battery seemed less and less effective starting at two months, and now appears to be half as effective as it was when I purchased the vacuum” “After 3 months, this vacuum is no longer appropriate for cleaning upholstery.” One person asked me how to clean the vents--I don’t know the answer--maybe use another vac and suck the back of the machine out? take the machine apart? Maybe somebody knows and can answer.

Loud
I really like black and decker brand cordless vacuums. This one is rather loud but, it does a really good job picking up. I charge it and then remove it from the charger. It stays charged for about a week at a time and I use it daily for small pick ups. I do have trouble with removing the nozzle to empty then putting it back on. When I received it, it wasn’t on correctly and seemed broken but, I got it put together and now I just push the button near the on/off button and clean it out that way. As long as I don’t turn the nozzle feature it stays together. If that and the noisiness weren’t an issue, I would give it 5 stars

Extremely Versatile Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
I recently purchased the BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Handheld Vacuum and it has quickly become my go-to cleaning tool. This vacuum is incredibly powerful, with impressive suction that easily picks up dirt, dust, and debris from any surface. The wide mouth design makes it easy to capture large debris, and the crevice tool attachment is perfect for getting into tight spaces. The compact size of this vacuum is also a huge plus - it's easy to store in a closet or cabinet and doesn't take up much space. The battery life is excellent, lasting for several cleaning sessions before needing to be recharged. When it is time to recharge, the process is quick and simple, and the battery indicator light lets me know when it's time to plug it in. The dustbin is also easy to empty, and the washable filter makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze. I love that I can quickly and easily clean up messes without having to drag out my larger vacuum or broom and dustpan. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Handheld Vacuum. It is a high-quality product that is powerful, easy to use, and highly portable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient handheld vacuum for everyday cleaning needs.

Arrives with a 125 volt charger and base.
Great vacuum cleaner. Only downside it was shipped from the USA and arrived with a 125 volt power supply and charging base. I spoke to Black and Decker and they said that if I used it on our mains supply it would not be covered under warranty. I had to purchase a Step Down Voltage Converter from E-Spares at a cost of £16.66 to enable it to be charged from our mains supply. Paul Jackson.

Decent hand vacuum
I got this hand vacuum with the intention of using it to clean around the house and clean out my car. It's great for cleaning small messes around the house. It's very convenient to just pull it off the base charger and then pop it back on when you're done. And the power and battery life is sufficient for this purpose. However, for cleaning out the car, both the power and battery life are a little disappointing. I've found that the dirt embedded in the carpets on the car floor doesn't come out very easily using this vacuum, and the battery didn't even last long enough on one full charge to clean my whole car (which is a small-medium sized car) - but this was partially because I had to spend so much time trying to get the dirt out of the carpets. Overall, I'd say the battery probably lasted for about 6 minutes of on-time. Back to the positives, I really like how convenient it is to empty out the dirt and clean the filter. The built-in extension comes in very handy for not having to bend too much and for getting at those hard-to-reach places. Also, the built-in brush is useful for cleaning carpets, car seats, etc. Although it doesn't seem super useful in too many situations, the ability of the suction tube to rotate about the base of the vacuum can be helpful once in a while. And finally, I really appreciate the fact that the vacuum has a feature that automatically shuts off the charging when it's fully charged. This way you can put it on the charger and forget about it, without having to worry about overcharging it and killing the battery over time. Overall, it's fine enough, but I don't love it. The price is a bit steep for what it is, in my opinion. Pros: - Decent level of power - Very convenient for quick cleanups - Charging automatically shuts off when charging is complete, preserving battery longevity - Easy to clean - Good built-in accessories/features Cons: - Battery life is only okay (about 6 minutes of on-time) - The ability of the suction tube to rotate about the base of the vacuum is annoying more often than it's useful (because it gets accidentally rotated)

Light weight
Being 20V, this hand held vac has good suction. I used it for small cleanups, especially in my entryway and it does a great job!

So far, so good
I like that it stands upright to charge so fits in a small place. It's easy to clean/empty and the extended took is built in as is the little brush end. No need to have the extra tools for it laying around. I use it by my wood stove to vaccuum up small bits of wood. It works great.
