Simple. Works well.
Simple and affordable. This is my second Black & Decker blender in 6 years. I was gifted a Ninja that just wouldn’t get fruits and veggies smooth for shakes. This one does. It’s loud, no blender is easy to clean, but it does the job.

Works well for light blending
I haven't had any issues with this blender so far. I've had it about a month. My main reason for purchase was to blend up protein shakes. My husband uses it daily to blend his protein shakes, which are just powder and milk, and I've used it a handful of times for homemade milkshakes and smoothies. It's a very standard, simple blender. I haven't had any problems with leaking or parts breaking, like other reviewers have described. I haven't blended chunks of ice or frozen fruit either. It works very well for what we need it for. I do have a couple minor annoyances. This blender is on the loud side, it could definitely be quieter. I don't plan on using it in the middle of the night though so it's fine. I also would have liked the buttons to be labeled instead of just numbered. I get the concept, 1- less blendy, 10- most blendy. However, I have no idea which one is grate, beat, puree, etc., unless I pull the manual out. All in all, I think this is a nice, inexpensive and effective blender for standard blending jobs. I can't say how well it works with chunks of ice or frozen fruit, but I do know it works well for blending things like liquids, powders, ice cream, fruit, and smoothies with crushed ice. If you have light blending needs, this is a simple blender at a very affordable price, and definitely worth giving a try.

Great for the price blends great straight out the box
At first I was hesitant because it was pretty cheap / affordable and now and days affordable stuff ussually ain’t great but after I bought it and I received it I was surprised it’s a great blender does what a blender supposed to do . I am very please with quality too nice glass cup thick glass removable cleanable blade easy to clean , strong motor blends most things including ice to make smoothies , only negative but normal thing is noise it’s alittle loud but hey cmon it’s a blender right ☺️ so with that said I recommend 10/10 would buy again .

Great value...for light use only!
My last blender was with me for 20 years...and then I accidently left a spoon inside the glass pitcher before mixing...it busted a hole clear through the glass...oops! This B&D blender isn't going to last 20 years. It's a little on the cheap side. The glass pitcher is nice and heavy, but the lid is thin rubber and the fit is super tight. I expect it will lose it's shape over time, assuming it doesn't melt in the dishwasher. The base is lighter than expected and the pitcher doesn't fit snugly on the spinning rotor. I do like that the power cord can be wrapped in a recessed space at the base of the motor, so it's out of the way. The motor is loud, but nothing outrageous, IMO. I only need a blender about 6 times a year, and for nothing too heavy, so this one should last me a few years (fingers crossed). I don't think it would survive heavy margarita making, but for the price, I wouldn't expect it to.

I bought this as an addition to another Black and Decker blender I purchased 7 years ago. That one is still going strong, I bought this to have an additional jar assembly so I wouldn't be limited to one smoothie between cleanings. It appears to have several problems so far. One, it leaks. I am checking and double checking my assembly, the leak is small but that is annoying I haven't identified the source precisely yet. Also I have not figured out how to get it to blend things to fine consistency, so far, the results have been far coarser than my previous blender easily turns out. Black and Decker obviously isn't what it was when it was American, but insofar as small appliances are concerned it does make appliances that have good value, and I like all my appliances to be matching. I'll update my review if I figure things out for the better. update 4/13/21 I seem to have figured out my issues with the blender it works fine. I give it a good rating because it’s obviously dirt-cheap and works well. update 11/25/21 this is a great deal I can't imagine spending a lot of money on a blender when they are available this cheap and reliable. I I could I would take off half a star because there seems to be a noticeable limit to how fine it can blend smoothies.

doesn't work properly, very disappointed
Bought this blender and it doesn't even blend properly. Smells like rotten eggs like the engine is burning out. Not even 2 months old and the buttons don't even work properly. Name 'Black and Decker' is already fading Very disappointed with this inferior product. I had bought this before at Canadian Tire and it was awesome. Bought it again online (b/c i accidently broke the glass container from the previous one) and noticed immediately it was inferior product. I am even questioning if this is even truly a Black and Decker product or if its a knock off overseas version....very upset 0/10. Wasn't going to say anything but today was the last straw with all the smell and non functional buttons.

Okay purchase but two issues
Overall, I am content with this purchase. Two things to mention, though: 1) it's a bit louder than other blenders I have had; 2) it comes with a rubber seal that is not permanently attached...why they didn't just make the seal to be a fixed item on the blender like other manufacturers is a bit confusing. Based on those two details I would probably look at other options next time.

Smells like it's burning when you use it
It works, but it makes an evil, burning electrics/plastic smell when you use it. Makes me wonder how safe it is.

Works perfect
Plenty of power. Made frozen banana and spinnach smoothie turned out perfect in 30 seconds. So glad I didn't waste 500 dollars are large blender. No idea about the longevity of the machine but it blends very well and has very solid heavy glass jug.
