Il BISON Airlighter 520 è un accendino senza fili che accende qualsiasi tipo di carbone, legno o pellet di legno in 60 S. Utilizza una tecnologia brevettata di fiamma e soffiante per accendere rapidamente legna o carboni e poi diffonde il calore al resto del fuoco con il soffiatore incorporato. A great idea and a functional product that works well if you follow some simple steps.

I was excited and wanted this product to work but alas, another let down. First one was returned since the flame would sputter and extinguish despite having a full tank. I reordered a second one and it won't light. Clearly a great idea crippled by poor quality. I would not recommend. I figured the first one was a one off but a second one......no way. ***UPDATED November 11, 2015*** I was contacted by the manufacturer and was asked if I would give the Airlighter another shot. As I said in my review, I really like the idea so I decided it couldn't hurt. I received the new unit, filled it with butane and hooked it up to a charger. Once charged, the unit lit on the second attempt. Prior to the Airlighter, I used a Bernzomatic TS8000 torch head and a canister of MAP. I'd light several areas of the bed of lump and wait for it to all ignite. The Airlighter flame is nowhere near as powerful as the above torch head; that's obvious however it doesn't need to be. This isn't explained very well in the literature, or if it is I never read it, but the real strength of the Airlighter is not the flame but the FAN! I used to try and light as many coals as I could with the torch head and continued the practice with the Airlighter. WRONG WRONG WRONG!! You only really need to get a few edges of the lump glowing, then switch to the fan and let the magic begin. I'm telling you, once the lump lights it goes really fast. The more coals that are lit the faster it goes with the fan. I've modified my rating from a one star to a four star. I would give it a five star but I haven't used it for an extended period. The manufacturer read my original review, followed up and made efforts to satisfy a customer which is a rarity in today's business world. They definitely get an A+ from me and I'd recommend the product to others.

Still amazing after 4 years!!!

I bought my Bison in 2017 and it's still running like a champ! Smoking meats is a passion for me and I could not live without my Bison. I have a large Green Egg and typically do 1-2 cooks per week. The Bison is perfect for lighting the Egg for a 225 degree smoke or a 500 degree sear. The difference is how many points you light. If I am doing a low and slow smoke, I typically light one small baseball size coal in the center. High temp searing requires lighting 3-4 different points depending on the wind. On a single butane charge, I typically get 4-5 lights. On a single battery change, I get 7-10 lights. I've read other reviews that mention the buttons failed or the product loses thee flame. I didn't experience any issues with durability or quality. The flame still burns are hot as it did on the day I bought it. Honestly, this is a great product. I've never written a Amazon review but felt compelled because this manufacturer deserves it. Sincerely

Hail the Airlighter - Most Cherished New Item in the House

This is without question the best item that I have ought for MYSELF in years!!! It completely exceeded all of my expectations. I purchased it to reduce the amount of paper that I use to start my fires in my insert fireplace. In the past I used paper and starter sticks to get the fireplace going. Now with the airlighter, I only need a piece of crumbled newspaper underneath my wood stack and in 20 seconds have a safely started fireplace. The blower fan is highly effective at feeding air to the exact spot, making the process quick and easy. I've come to love this item so much that I now use it to start my gas grill. Because of the 4" flame, I dont have to reach under the grill, getting my hands dirty and it starts right up. Every time I use it, friends immediately ask about this and several have purchased them who also love it. My daughter who loves to cook uses it to glaze creme brulee. My 2 favorite features are the bottle opener (Brilliant at the cookout) and the adjustable handle. I like the bent, pistal grip position. All I can say is get one. It makes the fireplace & grilling so much more fun.

Not what we expected!

This Bison air lighter seemed like a good deal. I purchased it after I used one that belonged to a friend. Unfortunately this one is not working as well. My husband and I have both contacted the company because we can not get it to charge well. They have not replied to any of our requests for a replacement or information to fix it. It only lasts about a minute or less before it starts losing power. It is supposed to last 30-35 minutes. I would have preferred to get a replacement because I believe it is a good product, but company has not done anything to support their product thus far, still waiting.

4.5 stars. I have had this item for over a year. I use this to light my Big Green Egg at least once a week. I use natural lump charcoal. Holding the flame to a piece of charcoal for a minute and then running the fan for a minute normally gets a good fire started for me. Pros: The battery for the fan holds a charge for a decent amount of time. The folding capability comes in handy when lighting. Extremely hot flame Built in safety features Bottle opener is handy for opening beverages and for hanging the device on a hook Cons: Fuel runs out quickly. I bought 3 bottles of fuel when I bought it and just put a little in every time that I use it. Overall, I recommend this product.

Would Not Buy Again-UPDATED REVIEW

I purchased the Airlighter 520 after my current one failed. New one does not have as strong of a flame and the fan is not as strong as previous one. Contacted support and they said to try for a few times and they would replace is not satisfied. Well it did not perform but they will not respond. I have tried no fewer than 5 times with no response. WEAK PRODUCT AND EVEN WEAKER CUSTOMER SUPPORT. REVISED UPDATE The company did finally respond and sent new unit. It works as expected. Thank you

Stopped igniting after only 1 use...

I bought the Bison Airlighter in September 2021. I tried and it worked fine the first time. I didn't use it again until November and it didn't light. I thought it might be because I only put in the tiniest amount of butane to try it out.... so I left it until I had ordered more butane canisters and was waiting to use it for a family bbq at Christmas... but it just wouldn't ignite. I could see the gas coming out. I have tried several times in the last couple of days and it just won't ignite. Missed the Amazon returns window to get a replacement so now I have to go through the Warranty process... annoying as I really wanted to like this product.

A must have

I have changed my initial rating to a 5 star, i was upset to receive a defective product and the lack of customer service ,however everything is resolved now and my rating will reflect the actual product. it is a absolute must have. i can turn on my Egg quicker then my gas BBQ! it takes about 25seconds to start without getting dirty or touching charcoal, i open the vents and walk away, i can bring it to 400 in less then 10 min. ________ received this item, the idea is amazing, however my unit is defective, i think the battery does not hold charge, when i plug it in after a few minutes it blinks a red light, and the LED and blower barely work, the only reason i am giving this 1 star is because i emailed the support over a week ago and they have not replied yet. product concept is absolutely amazing, but it does use very cheap plastic and has a overall cheap feeling. ***UPDATE*** i am starting to wonder if this company is out of business, 3 emails 5 phone calls and nothing... **UPDATE** Company finally replied, but then disappeared again.... this is very frustrating

Don’t buy this.

This product stinks. I usually use a plug in lighter but thought for the cottage it would be more convenient to use a portable one. Boy was I wrong. First of all the tank wouldn’t fill. Fuel was spilling all over the place. I managed to get enough fuel in and it lit and burned for 5 seconds. The fan then stopped working. What a waist of money.

Gigantic lighter.

Haven’t used it yet but it is waaaay larger than I anticipated. I would return but the thoughts of so many products being dumped if they are returned saddens me. I just saw the documentary so my online shopping will be greatly reduced.

Not Good!

Work great the first two time I used it. The third time I could't get it to light the ignition system just stopped working. Not sure what happened was a little disappointed because I did like using it. Returned it, not worth it to try again afraid it could happen again.
